@Sparkidoodle:  I voted keep it and see how you feel about it in the future.  If you can’t part with it, than don’t! 🙂

@Sparkidoodle:  not weird at all, dresses are for you not your fiancé (IMO) if you love it and dream of yourself in it than go for it.

@Sparkidoodle:  I think you should definitely keep it! I have a dress from my previous engagement that ended. The wedding was called off before I picked up the dress, so I was nervous about getting it. However, when I picked it up I just KNEW it was the perfect dress for me, because I had chosen it completely for myself. I’m definitely considering using it when I get married in the future! If it doesn’t have any negative connotations for you, then I think it’s all about how the dress makes you feel 🙂

I know a girl who was in the same situation. She kept her dress and wore it to her wedding (afther the initial broken engagement) about 4 years later!

@Sparkidoodle:  That’s exactly how I feel! Actually when I was dress shopping I almost got a different dress that my mom liked more, but I just knew that the one I picked was the one for me. If I had gotten the other dress to make my mom happy instead of being true to myself, there is no way I would want to keep it!
