Hmm, they were never in style here. I think they’re cute, but a little loud. Maybe it’s because I’m a neutrals kinda gal! ๐Ÿ™‚

A lot of girls at work use them, I just don’t get it.

I’m still in college, and I feel like the last time it was ok for me to use mine (aside from a tote bag occasionally) was like four years ago. So… yeah, I kind of feel like they’re out of style, but at the same time I’m loaded down with all this expensive quilted fabric!! ๐Ÿ˜›

I still use my weekender bag that I bought 3 years ago when I go away on short trips.  I wouldn’t go out and buy anything new though.

I say… who cares if they are out of style or not. If you like it, go for it!

The new Sitting in a Tree pattern is not really loud, and fairly wedding-ish.

They use them everywhere around DC – all ages from elementary school girls with lunch bags to high school girls with back packs to college girls with totes and moms with purses.  They are bigger than Coach or Dooney here, and with summer coming up, probably more will be out and about.

I hate to say this, but in the neighborhood where my school is, I only really see moms using them anymore. But I go to school in a really snooty neighborhood where the students somehow (read: their parents) afford Prada bags, etc, easily.

I just bought a new one recently. I don’t care if they’re out of style because I love them! I still see them sometimes, but I don’t really keep an eye out or really pay attention to what purse people are carrying. It works for me, so that’s what I buy.

i bought vera as my bridesmaid gifts.  i have been a fan long before it really blew up all over the place!  i still love them, but im really disappointed that they moved production to china-the difference in quality is very noticable!

Personally, I never liked the bags.  I remember them being big in junior high, but I’m certainly seeing less of them these days.  They really just remind me of diaper bags.  I think there are much better options.

Honestly, I purely associate them with high school, sorority girls and college. There are alot classier totes out there, and ones that hold up WAY better than Veras.
