@SamanthaLovesJames:  It’s like the Vera you get at Kohls. It’s not her HIGH END stuff, I don’t think, but a specific line that’s meant to be more affordable.

@SamanthaLovesJames:  It’s really Vera. Doesn’t mean they are all hand made by a sleact few in her studio. But rather a spin off of some of her more pricey gowms, in less pricey materials. All of the gowns in DB have a expensive alternative.

If she put her name on it designed it and advertises it then yes yes it is … its just made for everyone not just very weathy its something to give the average women a chance to have that kinda glam in there life too

i liked on of the ruffley ones that comes in blush and have even thought of getting it i also thought of getting it in white trying to dip dye it so i could have the ombre look i want and if that does not work i still be able to in my 3k budget replace the dress with another

Although it’s designed by Vera, I wouldn’t pass it off as an authentic Vera Wang gown… There’s a good difference in the quality between the regular Vera Wang gowns, and the affordable DB ones. A cousin of mine had told me about a Vera Wang gown she found somewhere and it only would cost $800, and I asked, “oh is that from the White collection at David’s Bridal?” She thought it was a great deal because she believed it was a classic Vera, not the affordable one… So she changed her mind after that and got something else. It’s affordable for a reason. Similar couture style, but the quality isn’t quite the same. Glad she changed her mind anyway, she wasn’t the type of girl to wear coture anyway and the dress she wore was perfect for her!

It’s like a dilution line. Great to get introduced to her brand, but it would be shown separately on the runways. What you see as “Vera Wang” on the runways is her high-end couture line. It would be accurate to refer to the DB dresses as “White by Vera Wang” dresses. Some of them are indeed pretty! But the quality of the material is definitely very different.
