Nope, this hasn't happened to me, but then again, none of my friends are planning weddings at the moment! I'm sure if I did have engaged friends I'd bump into a few people though!
I have friends lurking on here, and I'm sure they could figure out who I am from my posts. But for the most part, the bee is my "ladies web forum".
At least that's what I tell my BF. I don't want him knowing how crazy I am about wedding planning before we're engaged! hehe No sense in jinxing anything, right?
Don't know anyone on here, neither before nor after joining. Thank God.

Forgot to include my own answer to the question. I found out about the site through a good friend, so I've known her right from the start, and now one of my other friends has become engaged and is around here as well.
I have a large number of girls in my circle of friends that are engaged or who have just gotten married. I haven't found any of them on here, but I also don't ever bring up Wedding Bee around them.
I don't know of anyone else on here. But maybe someone is chuckling right now because she knows who I am? Eek, a little scary!

...Or do you know people on WB from real life? I saw a few people say things on various threads like "I would never admit this to anyone in real life" or "Now that I've said that, I have to make sure no one from real life EVER finds WB!" or "I'm worried that someone from real life might find things I've said on WB and judge me." That got me wondering, what proportion of us know someone or someones on the site, versus what proportion are completely anonymous and don't know a soul on here in real life? Now I'm not talking about people from WB that you then met in real life, I mean people from real life that you then met on WB. Just curious!
