I don’t see yellow gold as trendy or anything, I think it’s really classic looking.

@lavenderstone:  I do think warm metals are making a comeback! I kind of feel it’s due to the fact that most of the newly engaged bees (80s and 90s kids) have mothers that were married in the 60s/70s/80s when yellow gold was in. Actually, my recently engaged/married coworkers all went with yellow gold because they thought it was “classic.” I have to admit that my mom and grandma both have tons of yellow gold rings, but I prefer white metals. Also, rose gold is gaining popularity more and more. If it’s not considered a new trend already, I expect it to be soon.

I think mixed metals are VERY “in” right now, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot more yellow gold!

I think it’s getting more popular. It really is beautiful. Like a lot of popular things, they tend to go in and out of style.

Im defintely doing yellow gold not because its on trend but because 1) it looks best on my skin tone 2) i consider it classic.

I have yellow gold, but you still don’t see it much in jewelry stores. I just had my solitaire reset and had the store employee told me he’d never seen the setting in yellow gold.

Sometimes I hate having yellow gold because I can’t wear a lot of fashion jewelry. I don’t like mixing yellow and white gold/silver.

It’s definitely trendy right now in clothing & costume jewlery.  Just walk by forever 21!!  😉

I chose yellow gold for my ring.  Like @bklynbridetobe: It looks a lot better on my skin.  But I also chose it because I was getting tired of looking at the same old rings…  I’m a 70’s baby so I remember watching the trend go from yellow to white & I remember loving the white back then.  Now yellow settings seem to be much more rare & my eyes are drawn to it again.  I’m sure over time we’ll just keep bouncing back & forth between the two!

I actually like mixing them a bit.  My bezel is platinum so I’m thinking of a thin platinum band to go with my yellow ring some day.

I HOPE so. My ring is white gold, but I love the look of yellow gold. It looks more classic to me for some reason. And “richer” or something. Like an old school rich queen or something 🙂
