No, mine was definitely not very similar.  They were both white, but that’s about it 🙂

LOL. My mom was also married (the first time) in the 70s. My dress definitely DOES NOT match hers. Now I want to go dig up those pictures.

I just love how all the 70s moms had awful dresses. LOL.

I think my mom’s had giant poofy sleeves. That’s all I remember from the pictures… Not unlike my avatar actually!

Mine is similar is the very very basic sense. But you would have to really point out specific details to see it!

This is crazy.. but I am wearing my mom’s dress. She was married in 1973 but the dress was/is timeless. It has little cap sleeves. This picture is similar although mine has lace panels on the skirt. It is ecrue. I love it and it means a lot to my mother to wear it…I’m lucky there were no big poofy sleeves involved!

Mine is actually fairly similar to my moms dress. She managed to wear a pretty/timeless dress in the 80s (miracle I know). My straps are wider than hers and hers was probably more a-line, but both are v-neck lace gowns with beading.

Haha, no way. My mom was a 70s bride, her dress had long sleeves; mine’s strapless.

Hellzzzz no! My mom was married in the early 80s. The dress has long lacy sleeves (that honestly look SO itchy) and the big poof at the shoulders. Yikes. I am thinking about wearing her veil though!!

My mom’s dress was made out of straight lace, lace everywhere. Mine was tafetta (sp?) with no sleeves, her’s covered every inch of her body up to her neck and had long sleeves lol
