You arent alone! Although I work in an office, there are days I just crave the simplicity of a band out of fear of damaging the ring-even though I know diamonds are the hardest rock on earth etc.

My mom lost her wedding band the same way. She’s a nurse and it fell out in a glove and into the trash and despite looking through it all, was lost for good. :((( You’d rather have the ring safe at home than gone for good. Leave it at home. You wont be sorry at the end of the day.

I lost my RHR that way (glove into the garbage.) None of us wear our rings to work, except for the older ladies whose wedding bands are pretty much part of their fingers now. Leave the ring at home, or put it on a necklace ๐Ÿ™‚

In my current job I don’t have to wear or change gloves so I do wear my ring. Though I fear scratching my patients sometimes during some hands on work. I know some of the ladies at my office who do wear gloves or must wash their hands frequently choose not to wear any rings, and some wear them on a necklace like previous bees suggested. It’s a tough spot to be in, and if I ever go back to a glove-wearing position I don’t know what I’ll decide! I can’t imagine not wearing my ring all the time!

@Francescasina: I worry about this when I change my gloves, but really I cant imagine it slipping off since my ring is bulky enough to where it causes resistance when I pull off my gloves.

I’m the same way. I work at a daycare and have to wear gloves when I change diapers. My diamond sits up high so it ALWAYS gets caught in the glove, such a pain. I got the ring almost 2 years ago but I still check everytime I take a glove off.
