My DH hates computers so much that he would never want to come on here. I read him or he reads half the stuff over my shoulder any how, so it really doesn't matter. He just loves the fact that I have peopel to talk about this stuff with and it isn't him, he hates "girl" stuff. He understand now that WB to me is more than a web site, it is a community. He even tells me to "hurry you better go tell the Bees" when cool stuff happens. LOL, He is a good egg.
@Coffee cup: He pops in here every once in awhile. I occasionally send him links to threads that might interest him. He likes checking out the Etiquette threads too.
My husband never asks about weddingbee. He already hears enough against his will. LOL
@techie: I have a gut feeling my FI pops in here too sometimes, but I'm not sure what he's interested in. He asks me about the site a lot anyways.
FI has his own version of the bee - contractortalk.com or something like that. He would definitely never want to come on here (he'd be bored to tears) BUT he is definitely getting used to me starting sentences "so, I was on the wedding website and...." :)
FI can't wrap his mind around how I can spend so much time on here. He always asks how there can possibly be so much on here that I can spend more than 30 minutes reading and posting (let alone most of the afternoon!) lol.
@Coffee cup: there is NO WAY I would EVER let him use my account- and he already knows us Bees are nuts as is, no need to give him proof hahah!
@tksjewelry: and @Juliepants: Its so cool he totally gets why you love the site, I find myself more and slipping it into convos with my SO, and he feels the same as yours- just thankful I'm not bugging him about what he thinks about this over that- case in point, we looked at rings online and I showed him two I loved- hes like they are the same, quit messing with me woman! ahh...no!
(one was a emerald cut 3 stone, the other, emerald cut 3 stone with tons of vintage style metal working. Close, but it was cute)
I wouldn't say he's curious...more just... baffled at "why am I still on here" lol.
He goes on here every once in awhile to read stuff, esp if I've mentioned something he considers interesting.
I still SWEAR that during the whole planning process that DH would turn on my computer (which auto opens to WB) and would read posts when I wasn't home. He used to slide things by in conversation that I knew were on the Bee that day because at work I was on it on my phone. He denies, but there is something rotten in Denmark about his conversations.
He's so used to a conversation starting, "Well I was on the Bee and..." or "There was this thread..." Poor guy.
But really he has looked in before. Which is why I won't post my dress. I've posted it once for like, 20 minutes, and then deleted it. And this was when I knew he wasn't on a computer. Note: I am generally not that crazy, but it's one of the few traditional things I like. Lol.
Oh, and he has "his own version" but he isn't nearly as addicted. It's cars something. He's a car guy.
@AmeliaBedelia: I heard a quote once: "Men have porn, women have wedding websites"
@tksewelry: The only thing he has mentioned about the bee without me bringing it up first is the time he asked me "ehat's coffee cup up to these days", that's how I knew he lurked here.
No I don't think he really ever thinks about it! Although occasionally I tell him about ideas I've seen on here.
FI is interested in what I post about, but I don't think he would want to make any posts himself. He doesn't have that much interest in weddings in general.
I don't know if FI would want to participate for a day, but he definitely still hears about it...... haha
I tell him about it against his will, he talks to me about video games I dont play against mine. We are pretty even.

After that awesome thread about Disney princesses and reading to FI the funniest comments there, he just said: “There should be a similar site where we all SOs, FI,s and DHs can go and vent about how crazy you all are, or better yet, there should be a “Bee for a day” day, a day you allow us to use your accounts just to see what’s the big deal”.
I’m not sure I’d let him use my account, but he’s always curious about EVERYTHING so I’m not surprised he wants some inside scoop.
Do you think your SO/FI/DH would like to spend a day in the Bee? What does the think of your spending your time here?
