Yes, and luckily he is excited about wearing one! We got the wedding bands a few months ago and he carries it in his pocket and says it is good luck.
He absolutely is! We're going to pick it out in a couple of weeks :)
Mine probably will. He wears a claddagh ring now on his right hand, so he'll prob just swap it out for the wedding band on his left & that's all.
My brother doesn't wear his ring though. I hear you ladies about some men and their work. My brother owns a landscaping company so his hands are in dirt, fertilizer & water all day… not the best place for a wedding band.
My hisband wears his ring on a leather necklace I bought him since he says he can't wear it all the time on his finger.
I honestly don't know how he feels about it- we haven't talked about it yet since we're not engaged. But! I fully intend on wearing both my engagement ring and my wedding band and I've never worn rings before so if I can get over it feeling "weird" so can he. It's really important to me and even if he doesn't like how it feels at first, we'll both get used to it eventually. He's not the type to get it tattooed, but he'd seriously consider if if he knew I'd be upset. <br mce_bogus="1">
Well my FI and I have this couple ring that we got while we were dating and he usually never wears it. He's a doctor and he's constantly washing his hands so he prefers not to wear it and instead hangs it on his necklace. It doesnt really bother me if he has it off or on when he's at work.
@lovemylhasa: When my FI and I first talked wedding bands he was really concerned because he broke his right pinkie playing basketball as a kid. If anything rubs up against his finger it starts to throb... lol then I reminded him that his wedding band goes on his left hand. Nice try Mr. lol
My husband takes his ring off occasionally (like lifting weights or doing heavy yardwork), but he wears it every day. I've been teasing him that I don't think he's going to make it to our 5 year anniversary without losing it though!
my husband absolutely wears his ring, although in the beginning i never thought he would wear it to work, and technically doesnt wear his wedding ring to work. he loves wearing his ring but it could get hurt at work, so he leaves it behind. this didnt bother me but it started to bother him, so we went out and got a cheap, plain band that he wears to work every day. he switches rings immediately when he gets home though!
Funny, we were sitting on the couch last night and kinda out of the blue, Mr Spin says "I don't have to wear my ring all the time do I?" He hates wearing stuff, even watches. Which is interesting since he has to wear a watch to take pulses etc. ^_^ I'm not going to make him wear it if he really doesn't want to, especially if he goes into a specialty where he's in surgery most of the time, of course. Now, family practice...I might insist he at least try to get used to it. ^_^
Yes. My FI is a drummer, so he is also worried about damaging his nice wedding band, so he decided he will buy a cheaper and more durable tungsten wedding band to wear when he is doing a lot with his hands that could hurt the gold one.
mine is, and he's very excited about it! he's an accountant though, so no really workplace worries... haha.
my fi is also a mechanic, and we decided his ring would have to be tungsten or titanium for him to wear it to work. these are less conductive than gold or silver, which is important for safety.
tungsten is more durable (and beautiful IMO) but it is not engravable, and that's sort of a big thing for me. he will probably get titanium, but will take it off when he is welding or messing with a battery. it will need polished often.
Yes, he'll wear a ring. He's excited because he's an attorney & he's been taught thata a wedding ring makes a man seem more trustworthy to the jury!! Too funny, huh?
mine is! We just tried on rings this past weekend and might I just say.... FI looks gooooooood with a wedding band. :)
My husband does, but he wears it on his right hand! He's a bull rider and hangs on with his left hand so instead of having to take it off (and probably lose it) constantly he just keeps it on his right. He has definitely gotten some grief for it from random people but it's also a bit of a family tradition. His mom's side of the family is Polish and so his grandfather wore his band on his right hand. We think my grandfather did too but aren't positive. He hasn't decided whether or not he'll switch hands once he quits riding. Either way, it works. :-)
my fi will wear one, he is actually pretty excited about it. he says he will never take it off, but I know better than that. My moh's husband doesnt wear his ring often though, and it bothers her.
My fi is looking forward to wearing his wedding ring! We're thinking about getting both our wedding rings engraved :) My fi didn't wear any jewellery when we started dating but he now wears a tungsten ring I bought him and also a claddagh ring that he wears on his left wedding finger :) I also used to wear a claddagh ring on my left wedding finger but I now have something much sparklier to wear!!!
