@mobile_bay_bride: hello i am a mobile bride as well. you may want to try the steele creek lodge its in satsuma right after saraland. i see you are getting married on a friday and i think they have an opening for that date not you can always check out their website through a google search. have you thought about trying the botanical gardens or the art museum that would be lovely.
Thank you! I had never seen the Steel Creek Lodge before!
The Botanical Garden looks like the next best alternative for an indoor wedding space. Photos there would be beautiful in the gardens, and maybe I can have food delivered and let a few relatives help serve to cut down on costs.
@mobile_bay_bride: yeah my husband's relatives are doing the food. Which is a major stress reliever for us. I think the garden would be a very beautiful setting for a summer wedding. i hope all of your planning is going well.

I am planning our wedding in Mobile, but all my family is in another state. This means I'm shouldering most of the details PLUS the bills! I don't want to embarass my future in-laws, but I can't afford the mansions or hotels I've seen online.
Any ideas for a budget-friendly or all-inclusive reception site? There don't seem to be any wedding-appropriate restaurants, either. Off beat locations? City parks with covered pavilions? Local caterers?
Any help would be appreciated!
