So, I ordered 11 custom made table numbers in red, grey, and ivory lace.
It took 6 weeks for her to complete and when I received them, it wasn’t RED it looks more like a pink. When I think RED, I think of standard target red, apple red, stop sign red.. not light pink red. I’m very upset.
I sent her a nice email about having to send them back to her because I asked for RED and not pink, but she wont return my emails. I also can’t send a paypal dispute because after shipping, it is over the deadline.
Maybe I can do a chargeback on my credit card? I dont know
I listed them for sale, but there is no guarentee that someone will buy them.
Does this look red to you? Compared to the sample red i saw in her store..
What I saw:
What I got:
Someone told me that the white could be causing the pink hue, but there are free edges and when holding it up against RED, it looks very very pink.. without the lace.
They are gorgeous, but I cannot use them and I’m very sad.

On my monitor they are pink. Only you can tell what color they are IRL. I would stop payment on the credit card.

they definitely look pink. I would try to do the chargeback.

Oh, those are definitely pink. Chargeback all the way!

Oh no! Those are definitely NOT red I hope you can get your money back!

When did you contact her? If it was after normal hours on Friday, she may not respond until tomorrow at the earliest. If that’s the case, I’d give her until end of day and also check with your credit card company or whatever medium you used to pay and get the process going for a charge back.

They are lovely….but not red. Definite pink.

Yeah, they look really pink. Hopefully she answers and is willing to fix them for you!
I’d give her a few days to respond, and in the meantime try to get a chargeback started. It might be too late for that as well though.

I’m not trying to be a pain but honestly the card looks very similar; its that she used black lace in the example and you chose to have it covered in white. Well of course any red with a white on top is going to look pink, and the black lace will make the color darker. I can certainly understand your disappointment and would continue with your chargeback but I must admit that you might just be disappointed with the result of your requested color scheme.

oh hell no. its a pink vs red and white vs black. good luck…

She might have used a different paper that is more pink…but really, the white lace looks to be the culprit. Give her a few business days to get back to you. You might even be able to salvage the materials that she used to remount the lace and he numbers on a red that suits you.

I think it was probably her lighting and camera settings when she took the original photo. THey probably had warmer lighting. She should respond regardless and help you fix the problem.

I think the white lace is affecting the color, too. However, it is not what you expected and like PP said, hopefully she will work with you (if not, look at stopping that payment).

I’m going to be very technical with the aesthetics of it since I’m an artist…..
Something white on a colr, will change the shade of the solid a little bit, as black would change the shade. However, that is PINK! You can even see a tiny little corner where there is no lace and that is freaking pink! 🙁 She better give it back to you for free! If anything, call up PayPal, explain the situation, show them the photos, see if they can do anything.

It’s pink, 100% pink. Dispute it!
