Does anyone else ever have a problem with their response time?I understand that etsy sellers probably have other jobs and or lives, but it just seems that if you are selling something, you would respond to queries quicker. Especially those relating to a sale. Is it just me?

I occasionally do. Typically they will be very apologetic about making me wait. When I couple that with a great feedback, I usually will let them off the hook and still buy from them. However, there have been a couple of times where they take forever, make no apologies and their feedback is a little iffy (I don’t usually buy from anyone under 90%). Sometimes you just have a guy feeling that this could go wrong, and so I listen to my gut!

Me too! I inquired about 4 custom Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, and it was 4-5 days without a response. When I did hear from her, I then requested fabric swatches. Another 2 days without a response. I ask again, and she says she sent them out. Its now been over 2 weeks. I told her forget it!

I’ve been three purchases before and they have to been great. I purchased a veil a week ago and haven’t been able to contact the seller. I’m just crossing my finger that she has been busy.

Some sellers have been really prompt and communicative, some haven’t. I just keep in mind that these are often single person-run side businesses, and try not to leave things to the last minute. I send a polite follow up as needed, and that’s always done the trick.
FWIW, my Fiance has an etsy shop. He’s a very on-top-of-things person by nature, so I’m not sure he’d let 4-5 days go by… but he’s also in the middle of a possible job change, our wedding planning, his other interests, etc – he just has the shop so someone can get use out of the items he makes and decides not to keep or gift. So maybe that’s why it doesn’t bother me when sellers aren’t very prompt.

Most of the time I don’t have a problem. I did contact a seller about bridesmaid dresses and she never responded. Other than that I have always had good interaction with sellers on Etsy.

Thank you everyone! I can admit that part of this might be me. I am trying to be more than on top of things, so I am looking for a quick turn around time. More than a day or two makes me antsy!
