you don't need illustrator or photoshop. a jpeg of the image is included when you download the zipfile.
You don't have to use Illustrator. You can use something as simple as Word. I used my normal photo editing software.
Perfect, we've got photoshop and word, I just wanted to make sure before I started buying things up that I would actually be able to use them.
Thanks ladies!
The only thing I would say is if you are printing then you need to be aware of the image dpi. Illustrator is great for print work as it uses vectors which can be modified and resized without losing quality. So it kinda depends on the image, I started ours in photoshop, but Mr. D played around with the vectors and resized it in illustrator to have a sharper print quality.
How all that works? I'm not 100% sure. I wouldn't buy illustrator just yet (if ever, woah expensive!) but if you find yourself running into the same problem I did with print quality, that could be why. Good luck!

I'm attempting to design our invitations and use gocco for printing.
Do you HAVE to have illustrator or some program like it to use illustrations on istockphoto?
Thanks!
