There are several programs that you can manipulate vector graphics in, but most commonly Adobe Illustrator. The reason vector graphics are great to use, especially for invites, thank you cards, and what not because the vector images print perfectly smooth line, rather than the jagged, pixeled images you get from Photoshop.

I noticed that a lot of DIY Brides have been using "vectors" from istockphoto.com for their invitations, thank you cards, etc... What the heck is a vector? What programs will accept these vectors? How can you use these vectors? And any other info you can give me will be GREATLY appreciated!!! Can you tell I'm clueless?
