Turns out it's been in his family for over 100 years. I LOVE IT! Don't know much else about it other than he thinks it's blue diamonds on the side.
I am absolutely in love with that ring! I have my grandmother's, but it's just a simple setting (not stylized) and I am so jealous! It is a beautiful stone, too! It's most likely sapphires (though they might be non-natural-- I know a lot of 1920s jewelry used other stones and many times wouldn't use "natural" stones...but it doesn't make it any less beautiful! gosh!)

Thank you so much! I'm so glad I have the bee to share my engagement with just because no one knows I go on here but FI. (I love saying that by the way!) I'll be making the big announcement later this week but I want to be able to tell certain people first. Thanks for helping me feel like this actually happened! lol
