After 9 years and one month (to the day!) (not like I was counting or anything) 😉 I’m engaged!
We took a mid week mini vacation to the White Mountains in New Husband…a place that we have made many great memories. I went into the trip thinking that it could possibly happen, but by the first night I started second guessing. He seemed so normal and calm, so I put it out of my mind and just enjoyed myself. Thursday morning we headed out and drove the Kancamangus Highway. We stopped at a viewing point and got out. He trudged through the deep snow with our dog to get a better look, but after a few minutes I couldn’t take the cold and went back to the car (apparently ruining his original proposal plan). We kept driving and after awhile found a trail and took a walk. As we were walking we were just having a blast…throwing snowballs, laughing, etc. We were almost back at the car when we stopped to take a picture of our dog, in front of a mountain that happens to look like a dog (ya, we’re crazy dog ppl, haha). Anyways, Fiance pulled something out of his pocket but I was so focused on getting a good pic of the dog, and figured it was a treat to get her to stay, that I didn’t notice what it actually was…the ring! After I snapped a few pics of her I stood up to find my Fiance on one knee with tears in his eyes 🙂 🙂 🙂 We both cried/laughed, and then he asked if I would marry him and be his forever <3 It was pretty perfect and we are both over the moon! If you made it through all of that here are some pictures to enjoy 🙂
