Personally, I liked it more before. I’m not crazy about the roses. I like the simplicity of the feathers. Maybe you should try a different colour for the cone, or I think someone had suggested doing a little V or something at the front which would be nice. What about getting a paper border punch and punching the edges out?

I like it better with the roses, but I am not crazy about the material the cone is made out of. It looks like paper towels sort of.

I like the bigger ribbon, and I like the idea of a paper punch.

I really like the idea you have, but something doesn’t work 100% between the roses and feathers, I’m leaning more toward the feathers but that’s probably just because I’ve never seen a decore item like this. Since I’m new here I don’t know what your colours are, etc. but what would you think of having them wrapped in a dark blue fabric (like the ribbon) instead then that will break up all the white, and have a white bow on it? Then if you get daring afterward, put a few random rhinestones around it?

Just a thought! Good luck! 🙂

Have you tried making the cone out of something with a little more color? I think that would help the feathers pop a little more.

I like the roses mixed with the feathers, it gives it a little more texture.  I think the tissue paper you used is being offset negatively by the larger ribbon.  If you stayed with the original paper or found some stiff textured white paper then it would look look more in place.  JoAnn’s and Michael’s both carry packs of white carboard (50 sheets for $3 I think) and that would look good.  I think a hole punch might be a bit much though with all the feathers and roses and ribbon.  I think if instead of tying the ribbon in a bow it you just used it as a wrap at the top edge of the cone (you can use double stick tape in the back to secure it) it would look a little more streamlined.  Good luck!!!
