My sister is getting married in May and I am thinking about throwing an Italian themed Bridal Shower based around her honeymoon. I have a lot of ideas for decorations and food but I was wondering if anyone had any neat suggestions for games.

Pin the pepperoni on the pizza?

And maybe decorate a cannoli instead of a mini-cake game? Or maybe you could find some Italian wedding cookies that hadn’t been iced yet and decorate those?
If you plan on playing some sort of "how well do you know the bride?" game, you could sub out the English answers for the Italian for some of the easier questions.
Instead of playing the game where you make a dress for the bride out of toilet paper, you could get a few copies of Italian Vogue and have people assemble honeymoon outfits for the bride out of cut out tops, skirts, pants, dresses, sweaters, jackets, jewelry, bags, etc.
You could also blindfold the bride and have her guess what she’s eating/drinking from various Italian wines or desserts. (I just made this up- I don’t know how much fun it would be for her, but it could be pretty amusing…)

a little messy but you could give everyone some pizza dough and a time limit to come up with the best and most entertaining base!
Or karaoke, but get the italian words to your fave songs

How about an Italy quiz…places they will travel, what their names would be in Italian…ie: William= Guillermo. You have so much to choose from with food!

Ohh, one time I went to a party and we played the spices game…everyone is blind folded and you have to sniff a numbered container of a spice or herb and then write down (sans the blindfold, of course) what you think it is….somepeople were right on!
Although they aren’t all italian, some spices and herbs we used were basil, thyme, tarragon, cinnamon, cloves, garlic, mustard seed and dill

Though this comment may not be helpful, since I don’t have any ideas, I just want to say that I think this shower idea is TOO CUTE!

I second the Italy quiz! Too cute.
Italians are also obsessed with Bingo (oooooooooobsessed)… you could do "bridal bingo" with Italian words associated with love, weddings and their Honeymoon instead of numbers.
For example: luna di miele, nozze, vestido da sposa, sposa, sposo, bacio, velo, ricevimento, anelli, fidanzati, moglie, marito, fiori…. on and on and on!

Let us know what you do!

Wow, you girls had some great ideas! The only idea that came to my mind was decorating little mini pizzas – they could be dessert pizzas.
