I've been to weddings that started in the morning (10 and 11am)- 12pm is no problem.
I think you can look at sample timelines that other bees have posted and just look at how much time they scheduled for everything and apply it to your day. Also keep in mind- just because you're using famly members for beauty and photography doesn't mean you should schedule less time for them!
There is a bunch of info on wedding timelines (and dozens of links to Bees' timelines) in the Wiki. Here's the link:
I guess my vote made it 50/50! For me, 12 pm is too early. Yeah.
As someone who is having an afternoon wedding, no I don't think it's too early :) While we would have wanted a evening wedding, it will be nice to have the reception and then go out later with friends. Mrs. Pinot Noir had a daytime wedding and posted her wedding day timeline in one of her posts.
I don't think its too early UNLESS you have many guests traveling from out of town who may be driving in the day of. While some guests might come in the night before, there may be others who leave in the AM to get there. That is why we are having outs at 2:30, in case people are driving up day of.
i would have preferred a later time, but 12pm is what the church had available.
we're starting our reception at 3pm and serving dinner at 5:30. It's fine.
we've got a catholic wedding though, which i feel like is more acceptable to have a gap...

Hi. i havre read some perevious posts and replies on iteneraries and everyone seems to be having their weddings in the later afternoon like around 2 and 4. Our wedding is set for 12 pm and i have no clue how to set my itenerary up. i know i have about a year but i am super organized and hate waiting to do things. Oh, I have no professional photographer and no hair and nail salon. My family is so large that there are people that know how to do those things and concider them a wedding gift to me so they are working with whateer time I give them.
Any help at all would be great. We planned our wedding once quickly and rescheduled it a year later because of family problems and deaths so I want to make sure it is all right this time.
