    I feel bad for them. Most women will be able to have their babies and go home to enjoy them. William & Kate will be hounded by the press and the media every possible chance they get.

    I wish people would leave them alone to enjoy their son.

    What’s the difference between not excited and indifferent?

    Either way, I’m that.

    @Hyperventilate:  +1. Personally I could care less as it has nothing to do with me at all. Kate should be able to go home and learn to be a mom like every other mother gets a chance to do (without the nuisance of cameras everywhere judging her). I guess she knew what she signed up for though.

    @Regina Phalange:  I think in this case, indifferent means you don’t care either way but not excited means you wish everyone would be quiet about it. I’m that. Lol.

    I love the tradition and heritage of the Royal Family, so naturally I’m excited whenever I hear wonderful news about them. That being said, I hope the media will respect their privacy now that they’re new parents.

    @MrsPanda99:  Ah, someone who shares my sentiments.

     I’ll probably get lambasted for saying this by those obsessed with Kate Middleton and the illusion of royalty but this whole charade involving the world media prostrating itself in adulation and amazement at the birth of a child is both disturbing and outdated.

    How can people fight for equal rights for gays and women and minority groups and yet still support a Monarchy when the very basis of Monarchy is founded on the inequality of the masses and the superioirty of a small group and chosen family? This child is lauded for doing nothing more than being born to the right parents, yet there are millions of children, some of whom may hold the key to great achievements, but are unloved, under-fed, abused and sometimes die without the attention and care of anyone. There are millions of hard-working people who slave away, toiling to make their countries and communites and the lives of people around them better but they will ever be recognized and yet, a child…a newborn is idolised for being born to obscenely, wealthy parents….guaranteed a life of privilege and superiority, all for doing absolutely…NOTHING!!!

    It’s sad how, as a people, we have our priorities so distorted. (And yes, I fully expect someone to come along and tell me to lighten up or stop being so dramatic but as long as people are willing to put up with inequality and segragation masked as a fairytale, then this will always continue).

    @whoa_its_ash:  Ahahahahaha.

    I love the Royals, they’re slightly outdated and have an odd obsession with nude hose and Philip Treacy fascinators, but overall they seem like a Tenenbaums-esque family that’s fun to watch. I was excited for the birth but I get excited for celebrity births as well, it’s all in the spirit of entertainment.

    Just have to get this off my chest… Why is it so important?! I mean, this is all over the news?!?! Aren’t there way more important issues that should make the news!?!?

    @Regina Phalange:  +1

    @MrsPanda99:  Ah. Then I voted wrong. Because I wish people would be quiet about it and talk about something that actually matters instead.
