Oh shit your husband doesn't want to upgrade a diamond that is the size of my toddler's head. I totally feel for you. The other day I was discussing fly in my private jet to paris with some girlfriends to go shopping but my SO was already planning on taking our jet to Japan for some sushi. my life sucks!!!

I think you intended to say I wish I could upgrade my ring to a 3.1 carat.... a few extra words make all the difference.

Maybe you'll fare better on marriage #2? They say the more marriages under your belt, the better the rocks!

Note: Not saying men who spend a small fortune for an e-ring don't love their wives, but just look at poor Jennifer Aniston. And maybe he's compensating for someone smaller in another department? LOL. Besides, I'd be afraid to get mugged, damage or lose it. So here's hoping all of you with 10 grand + rings aren't being cheated on as we speak. My .25 carat is my baby because my husband gave it to me and he treats me like gold. Some other jerk proposed with a carat beauty but I told him to hit the road because he was an ass. So you you NEVER EVER KNOW LADIES ! As for the ethical statement? Who cares? I eat bunnies for dinner ! Delicious sauted in white wine ! I scoff at those who look at me in horror !

imo, stereotyping couples who buy expensive engagement rings is just as silly as stereotyping couples who buy more economical ones. The quality of two people's relationship should not be based on their engagement ring, no matter how big or small the stone is.
Ok - the OP in this thread was being ironic, but the interwebs don't always convey the intent of the typist accurately. I like your real ring a lot, it's the kind I've been bookmarking. Does it have a matching band or is it a switch to the right hand after the wedding type of tinrg? Not sure what I'd prefer,or what he'd prefer for that matter, just curious.

Sorry to say but I smell a troll. This new person told another bee that her guy was probably cheating and then she started this thread. Seriously, it is because of posters like this that weddingbee feels snarky and catty sometimes. This is just crazy imo.
