Well girls, there's a little over 8 WEEKS left until the big day and although I'm "right on schedule" with my checklist, I'm feeling extremely overwhelmed and anxious all the time. I mailed out our invitations today, they were absolutely awful to let go. I'm so worried something's going to happen to them.

Mr. Bee's ring has shipped and is on it's way. I keep feeling like I need to buy everything NOW. I still have to buy a few things but money is so tight. I have NO money, literally. And still have a week and 2 days until I get paid. My stomach is in constant knots. What can I do to calm down and just enjoy this experience?

Really? No one else feels this way? I can't be the only one.

Oh I totally feel this way!! I feel for you, girlie! It's tough, I know :( I've been living on $4 dollars to my name for two weeks. Eep!! I am a freelance writer and they didn't pay me when they were supposed to, and I still haven't gotten my regular check from my full-time job. Luckily, most of my major expenses are already covered. I just got to say thank goodness to my FI. He has been a life saver lately.

My advice, however: you still have a few weeks to buy stuff, spread it out most you can, and make a plan. Write everything down left to buy, and budget it out according to your pay schedule. I know it's tough to do, but I think that will lift the burden a bit and ease the stress, that way you can enjoy these final weeks leading up to your big day!! And just keep your eye on the prize, you are marrying the love of your life in 8 weeks!!! Sooo exciting :) I know it's easy to get lost in the planning and money, but ultimately it all comes down to you too. Congrats and good luck!!

Thanks I definitely will try to do that. I did it once before but it just depressed me to see how much more money I needed to spend on the little things. Like shoulder shawls for my girls and a gift for the FG and my parents and my unity sand vases and my garter, the list goes on. And with only 8 weeks, I'm freaking out!

Yeah I don't blame you! The little stuff adds up quick and it is usually the stuff we forget to budget in in the first place. See what stuff you can eliminate buying altogether and maybe cut down best you can. And gift wise, I would focus on buying something more sentimental and thoughtful rather than expensive. It will be more appreciated anyway. Hope everything works out!

I feel your pain. My wedding is Dec 19th and im definitely feeling the financial crunch. We still have to get the groomsmen gift, parents gifts, favors, guestbook and a few other little stuff. The list may not be long but when you're down right broke at this point; it seems like a foot long scroll. Last night I decided that i was not going to think about anything that had to do with the wedding. I just went to bed early and try to get some rest.

My suggestion to you is not to sweat the small stuff. I believe that everything will fall into place for your day.Wink

I'm stressed too. I still have to buy the guestbook, unity candle, favors, fiance's ring, line up the grooms cake, finalize the florist, book the honeymoon, alter my dress, the list goes on and on :(

@starry: And sure, they're all "small" purchases, but when you have 30 "small" purchases at an average of about 50-60 bucks a pop and 8 weeks to buy them all (that's only FOUR paychecks!) it gets downright miserable.

I hear ya.... I'm also Dec 18 and feel like there is SO much left to do. What I did was open a separate checking acct, and every day I'm just putting a little bit in there.  8 weeks is plenty of time for us to get everything done- promise!

Also, a lot of things I need for the wedding I'm buying used from other bees, and saving a lot of money.

@winterwedding10: I'm definitely stalking the classifieds as well! I've managed to get all of my centerpieces for half price that way. The bee has been so helpful.
