What flavor would you take for your first slice?  I'm trying to get a feel for how much of each kind to order.  Help, please!

All of these flavors and cakes are from Flying Apron Bakery in Seattle.  Yes, they're delicious, and they're also vegan and gluten free.  So don't let those dietary restrictions get in the way of your decision!

    Thanks!

Normally I am not a fan of cake....but I love anything lemon, so you have my vote for the lemon cake with lemon frosting (double heaven for me!!!)

I voted for lemon... but I'd also like to add that I LOVE coconut cake so I would have opted for "other" :)

The cardamon cake sounds interesting, but I'm a sucker for lemon anything, so I'd beeline for that.

Im not big on "exotic" or "fancy" flavors. I just go with a simple flavor you know everyone won't hesitate to eat.

I am a sucker for anything lemon but that cardemom and chai sounds too interesting to pass up. I would end up with both though. lol

Thanks for the votes and tips so far!  FI and I are planning to get 3 different cake flavors, and our favorite was the cardamom chai.  They were all tasty though!

I love trying new interesting flavors!  I've never had chai cake, but I love chai tea, so I'd definitely try that!

I'm an adventerous eater.  I'd take the cardamom for sure!

But... a lot of people are not and would stick with what they know and take chocolate.

I'd have to choose the lemon from those 3.  I can't eat cardamom and I don't like mint :)

What time of year is it?  If it's spring/summer, then lemon.  If it's Fall/winter, then chocolate with mint.  Those two flavors are very seasonal.  Do you have any more options that are not so season-specific?

Normally I'd say chocolate (that's almost always my default choice!) but that cardamom cake sounds AMAZING.

I can't have chocolate, and I'm a picky eater, so I'd stick with lemon.

It's an August wedding, so I agree that lemon may fit in more with the weather than the other two choices would.

The cardamom cake IS amazing, and so is the chai frosting.  :)  So, I think maybe people may be more inclined to choose it for a second piece once they hear how tasty it is or try a bite of someone else's.

It's tough to find a balance between what I would like and what other people actually like to eat... thanks for helping!

Chia sounds good but cardamom is kind of a strong flavor.  I know a lot of people my DH included who are not fans at all.

Honestly, I'd pass on all of them, and I'm usually big on cake. If I had to pick, I'd get chocolate with mint frosting. I would be looking for something a bit more "traditional."

I'd try the one with chai frosting, but would secretly be hoping for a more traditional option like red velvet.

Sorry, but if those were my choices... I might just keep drinking :D

(not meant to offend you at all, if those are your favorite flavors then who cares about me :D)

I voted for lemon because I'd probably like that best of the group, but I'm not really a cake person in general.

Holy shindig.  Mint frosting sounds delish.  It's like a thin mint cake.

Seeing as your wedding is mid August, I'd go for the lemon first. But I'd probably definitely go back for a slice of the chocolate mint afterwards ;)

Cardamom with chai! But definitely offer a plain white cake or something for those who are less adventurous. Lemon is also very popular, but I would find lemon on lemon to be overkill myself.

I would go with the chocolate with mint frosting but scrape off the mint.

I'm not a fan of lemon frosting and don't think I would like the cardamom cake.

I'd grab the chocolate thinking it's all chocolate and be pissed when I bite into mint. Then I'd wish there was just a white cake with buttercream option because I'm a sucker for traditional wedding cake.
