It was FI's birthday, so we went out to dinner with his family. But gosh, they act like it's the least important thing ever... they make me so mad sometimes!
OMG really?! Wow - well happy birthday to him! Does that mean he gets "double" presents or not? :P
I'm sorry his family was so callous about his birthday :( That sucks. Why do families suck sometimes? I have some family members that I'd like to punch in the face. Wow, I'm just full of Christmas cheer, huh? LOL.
Um...nope :) That's his thing.. I'm totally disinterested in the lego kit. Besides, it has about a zillion pieces..
we are watching movies.. just watched shutter (and i laughed the entire time).... m is putting together a toy for the downstair's neighbor's grandkid...
I haven't seen shutter, but I don't think it's supposed to be funny..? LOL @ crebre. Was it THAT stupid? It looked kinda freaky to me, so I never went and saw it. Lord knows I have nightmares as it is...
going to midnight mass then opening gifts! fiance is napping right now and i am weddingbee-ing..
Yeah I hear you about the whole punching in the face thing, haha. And I looked up the Lego Millennium Falcon and it is the one I was thinking was uber expensive... did you get him the $600 one? If so... you are like the coolest. I don't even like Star Wars but thats a pretty big gift :)
Went to Christmas mass, at a huge dinner, opened presents with my family, and now am back at my own apartment, gchatting with my fiance. Somewhere in there I designed this board, for fun. :)
P.S. okqueenbee - mr. jduck loves legos. Loves them. Like, it's how he calms down when he's really stressed out - he builds lego castles.
im on here! We just pretty much stayed in..watched all the Pirates of the Caribbean and made sugar cookies with our daughter, who is 2 and just wanted to eat them before cutting them out haha..

Me and the FI are also snowed in! We are in Norman, playing Wii, watching Christmas movies and exchanging gifts!
FI and I are in bed on seperate laptops- I am on weddingbee catching up from being away 3 days (result of spending ALL our free time cleaning and baking!) and he is on oldjewstellingjokes.com, which is pretty funny. Earlier we were at my sister's place. Tomorrow we make breakfast for my family coming over, open presents, and then off to FI's parent's place for dinner.
@ cinema - oh noooooo....definately not the $600 one! I got him the midi-scale edition from walmart for $40.00. But I'm still the coolest ;) but no really, he would have totally flipped out if I spent $600 on legos. Even if they were for him! We had a budge of $200 for each other this year. We just got married a few weeks ago, so definately didn't have a whole lot.. but I still got him some decent gifts, and I'm sure vice versa :)
@ jduck - yeah, what is it with boys of all ages & toys? lol.. wow, putting together lego castles would definately not be fun when I'm stressed. SMASHING lego castles on the other hand..... :P
@ erkleiss - Norman's the bomb. It's such a cool town :) Wow - so many okies on here tonight!
@ rabbit - I want a laptop! Sounds fun...maybe I'll ask for that for my b-day (in June, lol)
@jduck - PS - cool board :) All you people on here are so crafty. I'm kind of computer illiterate. I just don't know how to do a lot of stuff like that.. plus I'm kind of lazy about it
its technically christmas morning now but i just got back from church. i went twice this year, an early service with my family and a late service with my boyfriends family. we also went out to eat, did some early gift giving and i watched Love Actually.

@ok: it was very predictable and was well quite funny. i knew exactly what the entire movie was about at the very first "scary" sequence. It was nothing like The Grudge which for me was scary freaky.
Hot German wine and watching Christmas Vacation and several other movies.
Well BF is working untill 7am.I counldnt go to midnight mass cuz the lil one is sick. and now its 1:50am the kids are sleeping and i cant. Anyways "Merry Christmas"
Oh my ... one Christmas down two to go! We have so much running to do tomorrow! Tonight we went to my mom and stepdad's house and did our Christmas thing there with the aunt and uncle, grandma and brother as well! It was fun albeit a little dramatic at one point but that's family for ya!
Then we exchanged some gifts ... and I'm sitting in my new red comfy comfy soft and warm robe at Cam's house finally warm after a long cold drive up here. I am already sick of going all over the place! I gotta get to bed soon - Cam has a four year old brother that will be up in like 3 hours!!
We went to church (a awful church at that!!) ugg. Then we had his sisters and brothers over for drinks and watched Intervention, not really christmas'y there lol.
@alisha - Red comfy soft robe??? SO jealous! I should have put that on my christmas wish list for santa darnit!
Hey Bees - I'm wide awake on Christmas morning before all the rest of my family.... I just can't shake that inner child that wakes up and says "OH! IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!" :) So now I'm catching up on the 'Bee.

My DH is finally awake now, after being sick and sleeping all day, so I am in a much better mood than I was earlier. Being snowed in AND lonely is no fun, but luckily he is up and coherent, and we are watching Frasier, lol.
Still wondering how long it's going to take to dig the car out and defrost it tomorrow so we can go to the store...
But on an up note, we each opened a present tonight! I got the perfume I wanted, and he got to open his lego millenium falcon kit :) YAY for presents!!! We are saving the others for tomorrow :)
