So, you don't want any curls? Or just no birdcage?
Have you checked on the knot?
And I just found this site http://weddinghairstylegallery.com/v/Wedding-Hairstyles-Half-Up/
Sorry that was poorly worded... no curls because my hair will not hold them despite the volume of hair products used on it. I am planning on wearing on birdcage veil but haven't purchased it yet. This is the one I was looking at from PrimandPosies on Etsy...

You should check out the photos Lees4308 posted. Her hair was half up and she had the bottom of it straight and it looked awesome!

That is a really pretty birdcage veil.
So you want to wear a veil like that with half of your hair down? The part that is down will just be straight and not curled?
I think you might have a hard time finding a picture like that. I am sure if you find a picture you like though with the bottom half curled you can tell your hairdresser just to not curl the bottom half.
Not sure how much volume you're looking for from the front - - here is a simple pretty elegant half up half down that you might like...Also, would you opt for waves of some sort or you want straight?

Thanks everyone for the insipiration pictures! They have been really helpful. I guess I am nervous now that maybe there aren't many inspiration pics out there for this look because it doesn't look good? Ahhh...
What do you think? Just go with the current plan (half-up, birdcage veil, no curls)? Do a low loose up-do with the birdcage veil? or Keep the half-up with volume (a la the America Ferrara pic above) and chose a different type of veil?
do you happen to have a picture of you in your dress? I think the America Ferrera pic or the low loose updo - - - I have to see though....
EDIT - - after seeing your dress I think the America Ferrera style would be very very pretty ...You can totally pull it off with a birdcage veil...For sure, girl!
i like the half updo, with lots of volume on top. I think that would look great with a birdcage veil.
Here's the dress... (mine is off-white and has a zippered back instead of a corsetted back)

My hair/makeup trial is tomorrow and I really need to make it count . I'm planning my wedding from halfway across the country and this is the last time I will in the city I'm getting married.
My delimma is I am having a really hard time finding pictures of half-up long hair styles that don't involve curls with a bird cage veil. Any help finding inspiration would be greatly appreciated!!
