We’ve been searching for DJs and notice that they cost a lot! I had no clue. I was just wondering how much you ladies are paying for your DJs. Below is a quote from one company we might go with:
<span class=”EC_Apple-style-span” style=”border-collapse: separate; color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px”>"Our “Complete Wedding Package” is $999 for four hours and then $ 99<span class=”EC_Apple-converted-space”> each additional hour (even if you add overtime at the event). Our<span class=”EC_Apple-converted-space”>
rates are all inclusive and we do not charge extra for set up or<span class=”EC_Apple-converted-space”>
break down. "
They’ve had some pretty good reviews. Is this a good deal???

When I was pricing DJs, I noticed around here, they tend to have one of two prices for their base package. Either around $600 or around $1000. I have no idea what the difference was, since I had heard good things about DJs in both price brackets. So we went with a DJ who is $595 for 4 hours ($100 for each additional hour) and that includes some lighting as well.
So, that price quote sounds about average to me, but you can still shop around to make sure you are getting the best deal.

Oops! I had no clue my post came out like that. I don’t know if it was to do with where we live. People don’t move out of the Bay Area for nothing. Prices are high for a lot of things. The other DJ we had checked out has two djs we could pick from that cost $1100.00 for 4 hrs and than $75 for each HALF hour. Or pick the head guy (owner) starting at $1500.00 <-Way too much for our budget to begin with.

I got really lucky only because my brother got me a "hook-up". We are paying $690 for 6 hours (2 djs).
