@djenah79:  I can’t tell if it looks close to the original or not, but it is gorgeous and looks fantastic on you! I am sure that steaming it will help.

I agree OP, it doesn’t look very much like the replica, but still is a lovely dress!

…wow they went a little crazy on the pickups didn’t they??  Would it help to remove the pickups on the lower half of the dress to let it become more flowy?  You’d have to hem it there, but it might help it look more like the original skirt.

Glad you like it though! $220 is a much better price than $2500!

I think it’s gorgeous! If not exactly true to the original.

Try a single hoop / A line petticoat with it.

ok so the dress looks really good but I just don’t think it looks anything like the original.

I think the bodice and skirt look seperate rather than flowing as it does in the original. Also way too many pick ups. Is there any chance that you can return it and get changes made? you could start by emailing them and saying that you are not sure that they sent you the right dress as it doesn’t look like the original, then hopefully they will offer to make changes.

Or get it altered due to the money saved?

i BELIEVE WITH A FEW ALTERATIONS IT WILL BE PERFECT IT MIGHT NOT BE AS CLOSE TO THE REPLICA AS YOU LIKE BUT YOU HAVE A GREAT FOUNDATION I FEW TWEAKS HERE AND THERE YOU WILL BE SUPER HAPPY AND STILL UNDER 500! 🙂
