And it’s what I’m getting!
Just checked the weather forecast and there is rain predicted for the weekend of my wedding. Bummer.
It shouldn’t effect the ceremony or reception much (just need to invest in a bulk amount of umbrellas) but I’m really disappointed that my photos won’t be exactly what I imagined.
I would love to see your rainy day wedding photos, to cheer me up! Care to share?

…it’s a free riiiiiide, when you’ve already paid!”
Haha! Nice title! I KNOW there are some amazing rainy pics out there… sorry that I don’t have any but I’m sure you’ll get lots of inspiration!

I just checked mine too, and there is a 60% chance of rain with a high of 57 degrees. Good thing the ceremony and reception are inside, but the buffet and cocktail hour are supposed to be outside, and there are so many photo ops that I want to get outside. Hopefully, it won’t rain when we want to do the photos and cocktails.

I just did a google search of rainy wedding day photos and there is a ton of inspiration there! Matching umbrellas, cute rain boots. Just work it!

i just read somewhere that taking pictures after it’s rained is ideal. something about how the light is a bit muted by the clouds

I have actually been dying to shoot a rainy day wedding JUST because I want a reason to buy these – can you imagine the FANTASTIC bridal party/couple shots?

I had rain on my wedding day and it completely changed our plans (outdoor ceremony) but we still did our first look outside – check out my recaps of this here.

@Shooozy: Just google heart umbrellas – there are a number of companies that sell them online. I really love the wide range of colors they offer – there’s one for every color scheme! i love the idea of doing a mixture of colors – for instance, give all the bridesmaids ivory umbrellas and the bride red or another bold color. =)
