Alright, so for the past few weeks, I’ve been stalking every hair/makeup trial thread =) Here’s my trial from Saturday! The photos were taken by BM ‘S’ (she’s a photography student)
She did my hair/makeup, and all the bridesmaids for the one trial fee, so I was estatic! (except only 2/3 of BM showed up!)
We re-did my hair two or three times because she kept the curls so darn high! Here’s a photo-log of the morning!
Here’s BM ‘M’s Hair! She’s going to have a flower in it, I believe. (We only got a photo of her hair, my hair and my makeup!)
Here’s my hair!
Here’s makeup! (I asked for Kate Middleton’s wedding makeup because, well, she’s adorable!)
Here it is with my glasses!
There’s only a couple things I want to change! The curls definitely need to be cleaned up/tighter pinned down (they won’t last long like they were Saturday!), more volume in the front! She’s also going to french braid my braids, for a more romantic look.
I’m also not in love with the side swept straight portion of my hair. It looks so flat and one dimensinal. Any ideas?

I love both your hair and makeup! I had a similar updo without the braids and at my trial I left some pieces hanging down in front. I wasn’t a fan and on the day of she twisted the loose front pieces back into the sides of my hair (maybe with you into your braids) and I loved how it looked a lot more. Maybe try something like that to give it some more volume in the front with the twist or just pulled back more?

I think you look lovely (love your highlights). Have you thought about cutting your bangs so theyre side swept?

Very nice! I think the makeup looks perfect. I agree, there should be a little more volume showing up in the front. CAn you ask her to tease the top a little bit? I also think the french braiding is a great idea!

@mandb122: the twist thing sounds to die for! do you have any photos? =)
@maureen9004: I used to have side-swept bangs but I’ve been putting off getting a haircut until after the trial so I know what length hair i needed, haha. bangs always terrify me to get cut! haha

She could tease them just a little to give them a little more volume and maybe even sweep them back rather than to the side. I’ve been growing my bangs out specifically for the wedding (they will be back as soon as it is over lol) so if you’re growing them out you might want to think about cutting them, otherwise I wouldn’t suggest something as drastic as cutting your bangs. It might be very traumatic. Also, my hairstylist (not my regular hair stylist because I’m getting married out of town) suggested putting my layers back in (another thing I’ve been growing out) because the pieciness can help add to the volume and texture of the hair.

I agree that the side swept part should have a bit more volume. Otherwise, your hair and make up looks gorgeous. I love the little braided part.
Your BM’s hair is beautiful, as well.

@M.Ruder: Here’s a picture of the side of my hair on the wedding day where she kind of twisted it back (she twisted it like this on both sides). Also, I’ll post a picture of my hair trial and then on the actual day so you can see the changes.

Your hair is pretty, but needs more ‘oomph’.
I don’t know how to say it any better, just more volume I guess!

@mandb122: I love it! I’ll have to see if we can work that in the day of! I felt soooo bad nitpicking at the trial! Here’s what it looked like before we brought it down:
I think the poof was better originally, but somewhere along the lines got lost from re-doing so many times

Your makeup looks amazing!
