Gah, sorry you're dealing with this. People can be beyond stupid and inconsiderate. Just say we gave you the info on the release date so there's nothing we can do.
This is exactly why I followed up with OOT guests individually to make sure everyone booked in time. People just don't think ahead!!
Very frustrarting, I don't understand why 1) hotels make blocking rooms so difficult and 2) why guests can't understand you already tried to help, if they didn't take care of their end its no one's problem but their own.
So incredibly frustrating! I can't hold everyone's hand and baby them around.
Our wedding is making my FI and I realize how awesome a friend we are to our own friends. We always book our hotel rooms asap, always RSVP the second we receive an invite because we typically have known about the wedding for months anyways and already have it marked in our calendars.
I luckily found a hotel a couple miles away with some openings, so were sending the procrastantor friends there.
I feel your pain, the same thing happened to us. It was so frustrasting. I don't understand how grown adults can have so many issues with simple tasks!
I'm not sure how our own friends operate in the working world!!!!!!! Street smarts people, geeeez!

Ughhhhh! My Fi and I went to the trouble of blocking off 10 rooms for out of towns guests to use for our wedding. This was difficult in itself because the weekend of our wedding also has a million sports events and conferences going on.
Anyways, they all new about the hotel situation, and the release date for the rooms and no one bothered to book a room and are now complaining to my FI and I that everywhere is booked up.
It's not my fault you waited so long to book a hotel room. Ughhhhh!!!!!!
