Haha - I think we all have stuff that gets on our nerves. I tend to turn a light on and then leave a room (oops). So that bugs the heck out of my husband. In turn, he hates to vacuum with the electrolux that my parents got us for Christmas. He likes upright vacuums, and I like the canister ones...he feels like he's dragging it around everywhere.
He will also leave our bath towels up until I change them. It's like he can't change them himself!
Like you said, if this is all we have to worry about, we have it pretty good! It still doesn't mean that we don't get on each others' nerves every once in a while
OMG - constantly. We had to get a wooden cover made to put over our hot tub cover (hot tub cover cover - got that?) because one of our dogs chews on it, and the other then lays on it, causing it to sag in to the water. FI bought some metal handles to attach to the sides of the hot tub cover cover so that it would be easier to remove.
Yeah... those handles have been sitting on top of our microwave for the last year.
Mine does the exact same thing! If you can get the dish to the counter above the dishwasher, then you can actually open the darn thing and stick 'em in. AND the trash thing.
I'd say one of the most annoying things about my fiance is that he is so blind. He will freak out that he can't find his keys and look all over for them. Then he will ask me for help and I will say, is it those there on the table by the door, or check your pockets. He honestly can't see things that are right in front of his face! It absolutely amazes me. He swears I have some special radar and x-ray vision, but he is just THAT bad.
Mine is good about the dishwasher, in fact he's more anal than I am when it comes to that. What bugs me is that when he does laundry, he tosses everything (colors, whites, darks) all into the same load - yuck!
Mr. CC will carry his dishes to the sink, but leave all the nasty half eaten food on them! He has to walk right by the garbage can to get to the sink! And, he never rinses his cereal bowl, and then I have to scrub it! It's very annoying. He also does the same thing with the dirty dishes and the dishwasher. Cause loading the dishwasher is my job, so he won't put his breakfast dishes in. And when I fuss about help around the house, his response is "I do plenty" and "you don't appreciate me". Argh!
My fiance leaves clothes RIGHT outside the hamper! Why?
Man, I must really love him, because I would never put up with this from anyone else! :)
Lately since it's so hot, my FI will take his shirt off in the house, leave it somewhere, forget where he put it, put another on, take it off later, forget where he put it, etc etc etc. I'll find a t-shirt on the counter, one jammed in between the sofa cushions, one on the table.... it drives me up the wall.
Not to mention that when he gets something out he never puts it away, he will not unload the dishwasher, he always gets our puppy so wound up right before we go to bed (so she's super hyper when I'm trying to get to get some sleep for work the next day), and when he trims his goatee he leaves the little hairs all over the bathroom counter and sink--especially right after I've cleaned!
I have my flaws but we won't go there right now
I hate the shoes at the front door - the closet is RIGHT there just put them in!!!!... but NO! And then anybody coming into the house has issues getting in because his shoes stop the door from being opened - and right now I am looking at the door and what is there - HIS SHOES!!!!!!!
@hcritton - I was writing my post when you wrote yours and I forgot what I hate more than the shoes and thats the little shaving hairs!!!! All over the sink - GRRRRRR!
OMG....I hate the shaving hairs too!!! So annoying!! And FI leaves his shoes on the floor by the bed. Do you know how many times 've gotten up and tripped on them. Although I have to admit I can't help smirking when it is HIM tripping over his own shoes!! Muahahahaha
I hate how hubby lets beer bottles accumulate on his computer desk to the point that there are 3 or 4 there. He doesn't drink regularly, so these bottles can be there for weeks. It's not like he never goes to the kitchen in this time frame, so it really bothers me! He will say that he'll do it, but he wont. The only way to get him to clean it up is if I start to grab them and take them to the kitchen myself; he knows I'm irritated so he'll take them from me and do it himself

So let me start off by saying that my husband is great with helping out around the house, for the most part. He likes things to be neat, so he typically picks things up. He also likes to vacuum! Yay! One thing that he struggles with is loading the dishwasher, and it REALLY bothers me. He will clear the table, rinse the dishes, and...leave them in the sink! Seriously?! The dishwasher is right next to the sink, just open the door and put them in instead of stacking them in the sink! I know I should just be thankful that he helps out, but I can't help getting a little irritated. Same thing goes with putting a trashbag back into the trashcan after taking the garbage out; if I want it done, I have to do it myself or remind him to do it, as it apparently doesn't cross his mind.
Ok, vent over! If these are the worst problems we are having, I think we will be just fine!
Anyone else have similar issues getting their SO to finish a task?
