"It's not your business, so why are you even posting about it?"

@StephieBee:  I think a lot of bees like to pretend they stay out of everyone else’s business but their own. Of course its not good to be heavily opinionated about another person’s life, but if you want to vent or are just curious I don’t see why it’s such a big problem.

@StephieBee:  I completely agree with you. I mean as long as someone isn’t saying anything offensive or hurtful, I’m all good with any post that someone wants to share on here.

@StephieBee:  very true. The bee seems to be a place of politcal corectness now a days it gets annoying at times.

I totally agree. Everyone seems to be trying to be completely politically correct 100% of the time, and it’s annoying because we all know that’s not how they always are in real life. Someone will start a thread light heartedly, and there are always people who want to jump in to make everyone else feel bad for talking about it.

I would lose my mind.

Currently FI is in a sling with a broken arm (2 places!)  He’s been on some pretty good pain killers all week.  And he’s unable to do most basic daily stuff.  I’ve been suddenly thrust into a PSW role.

He’s not a whiner though, thankfully.  I can tell when its really hurting by the way he’s breathing.

I hope your DH feels better soon!

@StephieBee:  also, my prediction for this thread is that it will be all positive for the first page or so, and then the naysayers will pop in to tell you something like “this is a public forum and if you put yourself out there then you’re going to get criticized and I can say whatever I want as long as it’s not against the TOS and wah wah wahhhhhh.” Because that’s how these things tend to go. Tongue Out

@Rachel2384:  where do you live?

You could  post a “birch poles wanted” ad on your local Craigslist or Kijiji. This is the time of year that trees are being pruned. You can probably get them free.

Failing that, Check Adhuntr

http://www.adhuntr.com/2012/05/all.html?cx=partner-pub-9413604915893153%3Ao8xsd8d7h7s&cof=FORID%3A11&ie=UTF-8&newwindow=1&q=birch+poles&as_qdr=a&sa=Search#2052

You can also check Etsy but then may have to deal with shipping.

If you can’t find the real thing, you could get any round poles and cover them with wallpaper. It even comes in peel and stick.

Yes! I like WB because I can post or respond to things that I wouldn’t normally feel comfortable bringing up constantly with friends, family, etc. I don’t always agree with the way my family/friends do things (just as I’m sure they don’t me), but it’s not my place to say. I say it here, where it’s neutral ground and won’t lead to an argument for discomfort. I like the threads about people’s friends’ choices because they usually make for interesting discussion-that’s when they’re not rudely shut down by people.

I think it’s especially ironic because the critic is, uh, online commenting on a wedding forum on a topic they clearly don’t care about? And the OP has too much time on their hands?! Hello pot, meet kettle.
