My day started at 5:45 after my daughter woke up unusually early. She was cold. Her room was 12 degrees celcius.
Why was she cold? The heating wasnt coming on.
Its freezing out today with snow expected later and our house was like an ice box.
I send DH into the loft to check the boiler. Big red light flashing away saying the pressure was too low. We call the heating guy and he tells us how to fix it.
Great, heating clicks on and the house starts to warm up.
I put my daughter down for her morning nap and she wakes up 20 minutes later (this nap should be 1.5 hours)
I go to her room to find her floor soaking wet and water pouring out of the light fitting.
Luckily her cot was dry.
I go to the guest bedroom to find the walls soaking wet. I call the heating man again.
Heating guy turns up within 30 minutes as an emergency as we have a 7 month old in the house and tells me the boiler has a massive leak.
So now we have no hot water and no heating.
My daughters routine for the day is all messed up and its only 11.30.
The boiler man is coming back this afternoon to hopefully ment the boiler. Plus we have virgin media coming out to switch our broadband and tv over from sky.
I just want to go back to bed 🙁

Oh shoot! I just hope that your day gets better!
I awoke to discover that our solid fuel Rayburn had gone out and I really didn’t need to crash around getting coal in while heavy, icy rain, fell on me. But at least I don’t have a baby to look after AND a small flood. So commiserations to you.

Ahh poor you and your little girl! My FI is a gas engineer and he deals with this every day! Hopefully they’ll get it sorted ASAP!

eugh now my father in law has turned up to check on the leak but my daughter is taking her nap directly below so hes going to wake her up. she is going to be one grumpy baby
ETA: im going to vent about this too as i ALWAYS either knock the door or ring the bell before entering someones house. Even if its family.
He just came in and shouted Hello at the top of his voice. I told him to kindly keep voices to a minimum as DD has just falled asleep and he stomps up stairs up the ladder and starts banging bowls around. needless to say shes now crying in her cot.
Dont get me wrong its great he is helping out but im in a bad mood and just want my bubble
