I'm wrapping all of Mr. DG's presents right now before he gets home. I'm most excited about a little book I got him all about dads and daughters (which was his least expensive present by the way!)
And I have an overwhelming sense of well-being right now!

I'm trying to get my wedding bee fix in while I have some free time. Really, I should be wrapping presents. My parents and sister will be home soon. I don't want them to see all their gifts that are thrown all over the living room.
The daddy daughter book sounds so sweet! I wish I had found my fiance a more meaningful gift this year.

Im watching tv, weddingbee goodness, wrapping presents. I need to take a shower shortly its my best friends belated birthday party tonight.
I'm gonna leave in a bit. We are going to look at a kitten just outside of town and if we get him, we will have to go to the store for food and stuff!

I'm still at work. I have to go home & start baking a zillion cookies. Haven't wrapped a thing cuz we did most of our shopping on Sunday and FI finished up yesterday. Christmas came a lot faster than I thought it would.
MissAsB: so exciting!!! I can't wait till our house is built so I can get a kitty!!!!
I'm just sitting at work right now, only 15 more minutes left!!!

My husband just got home and we are getting ready to cook dinner. I made some homemade spaghetti sauce so all we have to do is fix a salad and boil some pasta.
Mint chocolate chip cookies????!!!! ~drool~
I'm workin' away, got a bunch of errands to run tonight after work. Aaaah, the holidays are killing me!
Miss AsB, I hope you get your kitty! I love cats but am allergic....otherwise I'd totlly be a cat lady!

@MrsDG-I got my dad a book called Why Daughters Need Dads. I gave it to him the night before my wedding. He loved it and it made him cry. And my dad's not an openly emotion guy, so I know it meant a lot. What a great gift for his "first" Christmas as a dad!
I'm allergic too Lorienne but I take Zyrtec because I'm allergic to a lot of things (almost all things in the air lol).

i'm getting ready to package up a couple more gifts for my friends [i made truffles this year] and deliver them. all that to kill time before i head down to a friend's house for a birthday dinner

I just got back home from snowboarding..sooo tired and sore!! haha i need to be in better shape;) going to finish up some last minute christmas shopping in a little while!...wish me luck out there;)
We just got back in from a long romp in the snow with the dog - and we are eating cookies while updating the wedding website and deciding wether to order in for dinner ...
Someone please motivate me to get off my butt and clean our apartment!!!! I do not want to do anything tonight...

I still feel guilty that I left work early today, but I guess I feel less bad because I'm working tomorrow, Xmas eve, and Xmas day... I had to get stuff done sometime, right?
I posted in the wrong thread. I'm frazzled. There is totally a mouse in my apartment squeaking and caught in a trap somewhere and I can't find it and FI isn't home yet

My really old, lonely neighbor just came over and chatted my ear off. He's so interesting (was born in this neighborhood and will surely live his whole life here), but I was anxious to get back to wrapping presents and talking to you guys.

@Kittyachi: GROSS. We had a bit of a mouse issue in our first apt., and I swear I just could not handle it. OMG. The worst was one morning when I woke up, and found an unwrapped sucker sticking out of the eye on the stove.....wonder who that could've been?....I totally feel your pain.
I really hate them too. The worst part is that mice, if not in my apartment and viewed from a distance, are kind of cute. But once it enters my territory, it's gotta go one way or another. If it just stayed in the walls and didn't bother me, I wouldn't mind so much. Aaaaah the squeaking is driving me CRAZY!!!!!
heeelloo ladies! I really should be out finishing up Christmas shopping, but.. I don't wanna! lol It's too cold and too many people 
@honeybun - I've got that beat. The last mouse we had had our garbage can figured out. It was a flip top stainless steel trash can with a lever on the bottom - you know those kind - and the mouse legit figured out how to get in and out of it. I still don't know how that is possible. So one morning I stumble around in the kitchen to make my morning coffee and go to dump the grounds out to make a fresh pot and when I pop the lever on the trash can its little head pops up, taunting me. Then it scurried it's way out and back into the wall. We eventually trapped it while it was in the trash can, pushed the can out in the hallway, and it escaped down the stairs. We ended up having to throw out the (relatively expensive) trash can because we had the Einstein of mice living in our building. Unbelievable.
Holy crap! I never actually saw any of our mice....just their handywork. If I opened up my trash can and saw one staring at me, I think I would pee my pants a little LOL
So, in other news, who wants to see the super-bitchy status I put up on Facebook yesterday? LOL

Seriously! NYC mice know what they are doing. FI just came home and took care of it thank God. Now I'm sad, though. I feel bad for it, but what am I supposed to do? :(

FI is working til 11 so I am home eating leftovers and watching VH1. I finished Christmas shopping a few hours ago, all I had left to get was the animal's stocking stuff.

I HATE MICE. They're so cute, but the scurry little rodents running all over the house? Ew no ty. I'm also amazed by the fact that all the rats and mice in nyc blend in almost perfectly with the color of the subway tracks... so gross lol
@honeybun, speaking of spelling and grammar, I really hate it when people contract y'all like ya'll!!

LOL that's a great status post. I'm a grammar and spelling nerd so I can appreciate that. Also, I work with a bunch of incompetent people. So, yeah, I hear you.
