I’ve had a really crappy day which started with my kitchen flooding (again! A couple of you may remember this happening last Wednesday too…) and continued in much the same vein with me chasing the letting agents to actually get the problem fixed. I had to evacuate all our food out of the kitchen cupboards, so all of a sudden our spare room’s turned into a larder as well as having to use anything vaguely absorbant to mop the kitchep up with and I’ve just been really super stressed. Then I smashed my teapot which made me really angry and then made me cry because I’m just feeling really emotional and drained and fed up.
Mr CL gave me the world’s biggest hug, cleaned up the shards of teapot and made me a hot chocolate. Then put brandy in it. Then thought again and put a bit more brandy in it. I love him so much – he’s the best.

That is so nice of him! I love when they do sweet things for you.
I had a crappy day myself and was super emotional this morning because we had a pregnancy scare (5 days late). I felt so horrible and kept bursting out crying before work whilst blaming myself. Each time I did this he would come over and whisper “it’s going to be okay. it’s not your fault” and it was so wonderful that he was so understanding. Then he kept checking in at work to see how I was doing, and when I told him Aunt Flow arrived he responded with “are you still going to the doctor. I want to make sure you are okay”. AWWWW.
They are awesome!

Sometimes the bad stuff really serves as a reminder!
We went on a short weekend trip a few weeks back. I ended up with food poisoning and got super, super sick really suddenly. He was just absolutely amazing through the whole ordeal. Laying there in the hospital on an iv, sick as a dog, and all I could think was how lucky I am!

@SillyStacey: Glad AF arrived, it must have been such a relief – hope everything’s going better now!
@mrssoontobeh: I’ve since had a really good night’s sleep and there’s blue sky outside. Today will definitely be a better day!
@sherryberry: That’s awful, what a horrible way to end a weekend away. It makes it slightly less bad to have him with you though. I hope you recovered well.

Aww, sorry for the crap days (I am having one myself!) but yes – they are great when it seems as if it’s all not great.
I know when I get home SO will be at the ready with a huge hug and kisses. 🙂
