I agree you should stick with a neutral shoe with that dress because of all the flower appliques – maybe an ivory or light gold.  I understand your frustration at looking in the stores for shoes.  Try looking at Zappos.com, you can search by color and heel height. They have free shipping and if you don’t like any shoes you order you can send them back at no charge.  Not sure about the bra situation, because I still haven’t figured out what I’m doing with that.

By the way, I really like the second dress you posted – it’s gorgeous!

Oooh VERY pretty! I agree look online.

Oh geez. I forgot that I should have my shoes & undergarment for the first fitting. Ugh……

Have you checked out places like DSW or Famous Footwear?

Both of your dresses are beautiful! I think simple shoes are the way to go; there is so much going on in the first dress. The second dress is simple, but it still makes a statement with the belt and the knotted bust, so I think the shoes should be simple as well. I would go in the same color as the dresses- are they both champagne?

Did you want to be able to wear the same shoes with both? If you did, and you didn’t want plain shoes, you can completely change the look of the same shoe with these…

and then you could have “different” shoes for both dresses just by adding/changing the clip. It would be a great way to add color if you’d like.

*There are so many different sellers with so many different shoe clips- you could do bling instead of flowers if thats more your style.

I got my shoes at DSW.  2.5″ heel – liz claiborne.. super comfy.  They came in ivory, navy, black, grey, etc… 40 bucks.

As far as undergarments, I’m at a loss too.  I think I am going to do two pieces of “slimwear” but it’s more for “smoothing out under the dress”.  The back of my dress is simple, and you can see the line of my underwear – so I need something to smooth, and I’m not going to deny myself a slightly slimmer look either.  I’m waiting a few weeks, then I am going to go try stuff on!  See what works the best.  I’m paranoid about having to pee.  I have a fit and flare dress, which will be hard enough to manuver, but add tight undergarments.. ugh.

I do agree, you don’t want anything to distract from your dresses.  They are both AMAZING!  But a muted gold shoe would look amazing.  Its a lil color but nothing too bold.

I have no idea about the undergarments.  My first fitting is in a month, they told me to just come with the shoes and they’ll help with that.  So they’ll help me figure out what I should buy and I’ll definitely have it by the next fitting.  Maybe your seamstress can do the same?

LOVE your dresses!

I work at DSW and help brides find shoes all the time! I, however, have not spotted any that I would want to wear. LOL. There are a ton of new Spring shoes in right now, so go give it a shot! And ask someone who works there to help – we’re there all the time and they hire people who love shoes, so odds are the associate wlll know the stock and can help you find what you’re looking for in that overwhelming mass of shoes!

try DSW online, Zappos and Endless. The latter have an enormous selection and free shipping both ways. most shoes come overnight and you can send them right back. i probably ordered 10 pairs! DSW online has a MUCH bigger selection and you can easily return to the stores. I have had a really hard time finding shoes and the stores just don’t have the selection that the online retailors have. good luck!
