I really wanted to redo our bedroom, and we decided to start this weekend. Painting, some decor, new lamps, etc to freshen everything up a bit. Here’s some pics!
The new paint. This pic shows the painted wall, then tape, then the white trim.
How my cat feels about all this rearranging :
DIY lampshades with scrapbooking paper. Not sure how I feel about these. You can see the seams on the sides, and it kinda bothers me.
Also framed some scrapbooking paper for ‘art’ for the room:
Found this mirror at an antique store and decided to give it a paintjob to match the decor:
What do you guys think? I can’t wait to assemble the whole room and take pics!

Nice! I love the mirror and I actually like the lampshades…surely you can just turn the seam to the wall so you don’t see it?
I’ve seen them with fabric before, but never scrapbook paper; how clever!
Poor cat, though! I know when we rearrange, our bun gets very grumpy, but they always get over it…and we get cute pictures out of the bargain!

Ditto! Love the lampshades! Just turn the seam around like the other poster said!
Love the mirror too! It would almost look great in silver also, b/c of the lampshade base. But love it in black also.
Wanna come over here and bring some DIY goodness? I need some new inspiration!
And the kitty? Too cute 🙂

I really like the framed scrapbook paper! I have some extra frames laying around, I might use that tip!

Thanks ladies! The scrapbooking paper had to be cut into pieces to make its way around the shade… unfornuately that means a LOT of seams!
