Hi Bees,
I am a motorcycle gal, most my friends are bikers and I've struggled at this dress thing by myself (if it doesnt involve grease - no one is really interested hehe)
So please do tell.
The first dress I tried on was a Mori Lee 4164 from the blu collection. LOVED this dress - it brought tears to my eyes, but they needed 6 months to order it and then it would need to be altered. I didnt have even 5 months. So...off searching I went.
Bought two gowns. A watters lace dress which I had altered to take some of the chapel train off (beach wedding) when I got it back they took ALL of the train - so now my bum looks flat and I feel like the bust is not flattering and a bit vulgar.
So garrr, I orderd a chiffon dress from light in the box as a back up. See the pics of the twist front white chiffon below.
My heart is still with the Mori Lee, but I cant find it anywhere on the used sites. Any gals selling theirs?
So here they are, vote for your fav please. Or I'll drive the bikers crazy with this stuff some more ;-) And myself. I dont have any bridesmaids or moms or anything local, its been so difficult.

Mori lee for sure! You gotta go with the one that makes you sniffle! Plus it looks better than the other one, so you're right! Mori Lee! I love the Mori Lee Blu collection!

Oh, that's awful that you can't really get the dress you love. :(
Although, I have to say, I love the lace on the second one, but I think you're right, the bust isn't so flattering (no offense).
I think that, if you can't find the Mori Lee dress anywhere, go with the chiffon. I think it plays up your figure very nicely.

I'm selling a very similar Romona Keveza (under my name in the classifieds) but may not be the right size for you, I'm pretty short and small. Did you search for other similar used dresses?
Oh wow...yes, I also LOVE the Mori! You know...have you checked Jenny Yoo? I got my bridesmaid dresses there and they have a wedding dress that has a similar style to the Mori. Check out the Margaux, the Sasha, or the Felicity. I don't know what their rush costs are, but if you like, it might give you other similar options to look for on used boards. Good luck!!
I LOVE the first dress on you. I'd ask the bridal salon if they can put a rush on it. If they can't, ask a different one because it is possible!

Ya I think you are right on the lace bust of the one I have not being flattering, I totally keep harpin on it. (and I know I has a nice bust, so I wanna show it off in a good way)
So, I asked the bridal salon and Mori Lee doesnt do rushes. I have 60 days til weddin day as of today. I'll check out the jenny yoo. Maybe I should try and find something similar on the used sites. Darn, if I had only ordered it right then it might have been here with 30 days to go.
Personally I love the lace one from the second shopping trip. And I don't think there is anything wrong with the bust. It's lower than I would do but I wouldn't think it vulgar if I saw that at a real wedding.
I actually like the lace gown and I don't think it's unflattering at all and if you think it is there are things that can help with that. Have you tried calling all local bridal salons asking if they have the Mori dress in stock, it's worth a shot or even asking if they would let you purchase the sample they have if it's in good shape.
I actually like the chiffon one! It's figure flattering and perfect for a beach wedding, I think!

I agree...go with the Mori. All you have to do is order it as a rush! Soooo worth it to get the dress that brough tears to your eyes!
I love the mori!!!! Bu, if you cant have it by the wedding dady, then I'm afraid its just a fantasy. :( But, the 3rd one is very very pretty as well, would love to see it on.

I love the chiffon dress! I love the top, its so interesting to look at. You might never find the Mori Lee in time, did you ask if you could buy the sample?
LOVE The mori -- have you tried bestbridalprices.com? I work at a country club, and one of my members actually owns that company.... so it is legit... and they carry Mori Lee and offer free shipping. If you have already tried it on and know your size, maybe they will be able to get a rush?
Also - he is offering a free veil and shoes with a dress purchase right now! He carries a ton of brands so you could just go to a local shop and find something you like and order it through him to get it free! I know I sound like a sales rep for that company or something -- lol -- but i just love them! They have worked with me so much and it's funny bc they have thousands of dresses in their shop and this world wide website, but there are really only 4 employees!

I actually love both the Chiffon dress and Watters lace dress on you!
I think the chiffon is very soft and romantic, flattering and very suiting for a beach wedding.
The lace is very feminine and of the two even more flattering on your figure.
You keep reiterating biker chic so I feel the lace is much more girly than the chiffon dress. Does that play into your decision at all?

The chiffon dress is beautiful on you. It's interesting, flattering, and perfect for a beach wedding. It also shows off your tattoos nicely. :) The lace dress is pretty, but I'm not a fan of the spaghetti straps - they always looks unfinished to me.
I LOVE the first one on you, but the second is pretty as well so I don't think you can lose either way :D
Hun- most Mori Lee only take 6 weeks to get in. The most a Mori Lee bridal gown takes is 12 weeks. If a bridal store is telling you 6 months, their account may not be in good standing. I traditionally work on the prom dress side of things, but if you want help ordering or finding this dress, PM me and I will help you arrange it. I can't promise anything, this dress may be a special case, but I work closely with the company and would love to help you in any way I can!

It really is pretty, it doesnt make me tear up, but it is glam and beachy at the same time.
