@Peaceoutboyscout:  It is SOOOOOOO pretty there. I have been dreaming about that place for years! We finally went and checked it out about a month ago and ever since then I have been envisioning myself getting married there! I don’t even want to look at other places now!

We want to have the exotic cat greeter but it is an additional $1500 so…if we are feeling rich and spendy after everything is already paid for then probably but I’m not sure. I would LOVE TO though. That would be amazing. ah. may. zing.

I am/was an SD bee 🙂 we got married at Bali hai on shelter island. Growing up here, I kind of take the scenery for granted. My husband being from the NE convinced me to get married on the water over looking downtown. (I wanted a temecula vineyard Wedding.) Good thing I took his lead and did it. A year later our guests still talk about how beautiful it was.

@Peaceoutboyscout:  Welcome- I was a waiting bee here for longer than I wanted before we got engaged.  And we looked at venues together before it was official, so I totally understand!  :)My sister is getting married this year (5/10/2014), and her wedding is on a ranch, and I want it to be very different, so we just want is all to be classy and elegant.  We are looking at the Grand Tradition Estate- but it’s a little pricey, so we will see!

@Carrie2979:  Isn’t it funny how we do that? Take our surroundings for granted. My exception is living in the Inland Empire…there isn’t really anything pretty here. The vinyards and Idyllwild/mountain towns are the only pretty things I can think of. San Diego has soooooo many gorgeous places!

@taylorkirby:  I went to a wedding out there last summer- it really was gorgeous!!  They had the wedding in the morning, a lunch reception, and we got to hang out in the park after- it was SUCH a fun wedding!!  They didn’t have the exotic cat, but that sounds amazing!

@HeartsandSparkles:  Where was the reception/ceremony site, do you know? We are going with the Lagoon Overlook and the Mombasa Island Pavillion(by all the ducks and cranes and flamingos and the big waterfall with the wood structure). We will be doing an evening wedding though so unfortunately if our guests want to hang out at the park, they will have to do it before hand!

I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED. 🙂
