Do you plan on having anything else, beside linens, white?

I’m a bit OCD on matching whites and ivories but if your reception is in the evening, no one is going to notice. You might but no one else.

I think it’ll be ok if your dress and your linens aren’t the same white.  It should still work.

I think guests wont notice it especially if it at night. Also if you are having candles on the table or some sort of lighting , it will make it look more yellow than white.

Personally , I dont like white and it would bother me but I doubt anyone will notice.

Yeah, I was really stressed about this, and you couldn’t even notice.  I’ve tried to find some good pictures for you, but there are so few pictures of me standing by a table.  My dress was VERY ivory.

@ms_nickie: I’m glad I could put your mind at ease!  Thanks for the compliment.  And honestly, how many pictures get taken with you and the tablecloths anyway?  🙂

My colours were purple and silver, with white table linens and I wore an ivory dress. I didn’t even notice, and I doubt anyone else did either. Even if you get ivory linens, there are so many versions of ivory it’s never going to match exactly. And wouldn’t it look wierd if your dress and the tablecloth were exactly the same colour?

@ms_nickie: Why not just make a cape out of ivory toilet paper?  That would look way cooler, and would give your bridal party something to do during the reception.  ;-D

I also wondered about this, and it was also one of those things not to worry about. My dress wasn’t ‘extremely’ ivory, but that was what it was called on the label.  The linens were white.

I used to pay attention to that a lot but it depends on the light and how picky you are.

Today I go by… how many photos are you planning on taking standing right next to them? Cool

In reality you will have very few photos of you and linens.

I don’t think the guests will notice.  There will be very little time you’re right against the linens, anyway!
