So my dress is ivory and we are planning to have white table linens.  Will this totally clash? Am I being totally OCD?  I'm afraid that, in pictures, the tables will look pure white and I will look a little dingy and not so pure.  Then I think, wait a minute, am I seriously afraid of being upstaged by A TABLECLOTH??!

I would go with ivory linens, but we will be in a garden with lots of white wood (arches, benches, etc).  I thought I might even it out with chairs -- white chiavari chairs and ivory pads.  But will that look funky?

    Whaddya think bees?!  :)

This is totally my concern too!! I haven't decided on a dress yet, but so far my favorite one only comes in ivory.

I think it's completely and totally fine.

Who wants to match a table cloth, anyway?

Please don't match your dress to the table cloth. (Now, that would be a "don't".)

I have heard that if your dress is ivory you should go with ivory linens so that your dress doesn't look "dirty"!

I would go with ivory tablecloths and not worry about the arches and benches!

I am not worried about it.  My colors are navy and white.  The ivory dress is just what looked best on me. I figure I'll be sitting at the table for very little time anyway.

I agree with Mermaid1082, you have to pick your dress based on what looks good on you!! I chose an ivory dress too because I am very fair & the white does nothing for me. I'm sure everybody will be thinking how wonderful you look in your dress & not paying much attention to the tablecloths!!Laughing
