White is definately bright and pure looking. Diamond white looks like it is slightly more ivory hue too it. If you put them beside each other you can definately tell. You definately need to try them on with your skin tone. I looked better in the Diamond White. But I ordered my dress in Alabaster from Maggie Sottero, so that would probably be in the ivory catagory. I love it.
I personally got ivory because with my satin dress, it's just a richer color and looks very elegant. On top of that, I have a pinky skin tone and they say ivory is the best color for my type of skin tone (I read that after I had already bought the dress).
I am very fair-skinned, but I loved the diamond white because it didn't wash me out! Sometimes ivory looks a bit odd on me - I have the freckles and fair skin of a redhead - so I went with the diamond white myself.
I'm going with an offwhite/ivory color, I feel that it adds richness to my dress (lace). It all depends on the dress/skin tone/etc.
I can see a difference. It is more obvious on some dresses than others but in the end I am going with Diamond because it is closest to white without making me look too pale.
I don't know what Diamond Dust White is? But I do love Ivory...the gown I'm looking at will be in Ivory b/c I love it. It just seems so classic and it matches me well. I have olive-ish skin.
I can tell the difference but I think more so with some dresses depending on the material. I've chosen an ivory dress. As i'm relatively pale I don't think I could pull of a 'white' dress.
You can only wear white if you're a virgin. Otherwise you must wear ivory.
Haha JK ladies!!!!! =)
@beekiss2: I think diamond dust white is just white? similar to having egg shell white vs off white?
@Leeluu: LOL you almost got an "OH NO YOU DIDN'T" post LOL
i ordered ivory, i love ivory i think it adds a little more depth in pictures, plus white i find contrasts my skin a little too much (im on the lighter side of brown/olivy skin tone,(depends on the season) , which is good if you like drastic looks but im going for a softer more romantic vintagey (i think i just made up that word) look... all dresses look beautiful white black ivory red or purple, its all in how you pull it off and the complete look, to be honest im surprised at how many people have gone for ivory, i thought most people just opted for white, thanks for the post!

1. Could you tell the difference?
2. Which did you order?
I could tell the difference when they were right on each other. I thought I wouldn't mind the ivory, but I liked the more "whiteness" of the diamond white.
