I'm sure it will be fine, he has the ivory tie. My FI is wearing an ivory shirt to go with my ivory dress, but his groomsmen are wearing regular white.
Everyone perceives color differently - there's MANY shades of white/off white and cream/ivory. But overall, it shouldn't be too big of a deal. A lot of people do black and white photos and colorized stylish edits to their final prints that would make it almost impossible to tell the difference. I think you'll be just fine!
I've ready about brides who wore ivory dresses regretting having the guys wear ivory shirts. Apparently the ivory shirts look "dirty" in pictures. We're going to stick with white shirts for the guys.
I wouldn't worry too much.
We are going to do white shirts with black vests and ties for the groomsmen.....then for my FI, he will have a white shirt with an ivory vest and tie.
We were worried about this too since my dress is ivory, we decided on ivory shirts for the FI and all the groomsmen. My FI will also be wearing ivory vest and tie and the groomsmen are wearing navy blue vest and tie to go with our colors. Hope they dont look dirty!!!! never thought about that
I had and ivory dress and my husband and I went back and forth for a long time as to what to have the guys wear. Originally we went with the ivory shirts...but then we saw one from MW Tux and decided that we (he was very picky about his outfit) didn't like the color. Then we went with white shirts for the guys and a white shirt with white vest/tie for my husband. THEN my husband got worried about matching my dress and we decided to go with a white shirt and ivory vest/tie...and it ended up being the perfect choice! We were able to tie in the color of my dress with his vest and tie, but still have him wear the same white shirt as the guys.

Hi ladies!
I never even thought of this until I read another post on here, but my dress is ivory, and the groom and groomsmen are wearing white shirts. Is this going to clash? My FI is wearing a white shirt with an ivory tie and black vest, and the groomsmen are wearing a white shirt with a black tie and a black vest. I hope it doesn't clash!
