@yoo_design: I think a general rule is not to go down more than 2 sizes, but that varies by the style of dress. If you post a pic some Bees might be able to help. Otherwise, talk to a good seamstress and see if there's anything they can do

Hi, I fell in love with the Arabelle dress from Jcrew. I tried it on and was measured to fit a size two. That was a week ago and unfortunately they are now out of stock of the Ivory color...
I'm thinking of purchasing the size 6 and having it altered to a size 2 and have it hemmed. Any ideas if a seamstress would be able to handle this and how much it might cost? I am 5'1".
I love the Margaux gown by Jenny Yoo and would love to purchase it, but ordering takes up to six months and there are no stores nearby that carry this gown to even try on. And my wedding is at the end of April.
Any help about this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
