well i have a j crew dress, but i went to the flagship store in NY to try on. that being said, it was two sizes too small because they didnt have the normal sample size 8 which is actually my size. when i bought it & had it delivered to my house in the correct size, i loved it even more!!! it will only need minor alterations. their return policy is great–my dress is the angelique & it has a side zipper, which the girl at the store told me would make it run smaller. she recommended i buy it in a 10 & an 8 & then return the one that doesnt fit. jcrew took the 10 back no problem (you can return to any store) & i LOVE my dress!!

This is not helpful, I’m sorry – but OMG I love J. Crew’s wedding dresses! My BMs are wearing their BM dresses and they LOVE them. They fit true to size, but slightly small in the bust. They are super flexible with returns – they have a no-hassle return policy. The fabric and make of the dresses seems to be very high-quality.

J. Crew has a huge sale going on right now and a bunch of their wedding gowns are SUPER on sale so I think you should go for it! And you can return the dress(es) if they don’t work out! But for real, it is ~50% their Taryn gown and a couple hours, plus an additional 40% off the sale prices. (I got an email about that this morning.)

I wore the long sophia gown for my wedding.  J.Crew had great customer service and returns were no problem in the store – I ordered a few sizes at once to start.  Pretty true to size for me (not bridal sizing, more like formal street sizing).  Got it on sale, plus a coupon, and free shipping I think.  And I can’t say enough about the garment itself – I completely loved it.  The silk was so soft and comfortable.  It was nicely lined and had tiny snaps to hold my bra straps in place.  The little details like the pleating/rouching and some nicely angled seams were all well constructed and made my simple dress still interesting.  For me, J.Crew was a much better experience all around than any of the bridal salons I visited!
