so i had trouble committing to colors but i couldn’t delay ordering bridesmaids dresses any further so i just went with my gut without having a clear vision of everything else. chose this dress:
i surprised myself b/c i’m not normally a green person. i normally like more toned-down pallettes … sage/celedon.
so now that i picked a jade green bridesmaid dress, what should i do about groomsmen attire?
don’t like the matching groomsmen vest/tie options (men’s warehouse) – dark green vest and tie with a black tux? gross! i didn’t want black tuxes in the first place but got out-voted by my fiance and parents.
so should i… see if i can try to change the dress color? or are there way that i can get away with a jade green dress but using different accent colors for the guys but still matching somehow?

Our groomsmen don’t match our bridesmaids. We put the groomsmen in black and white and my FI in white and black.
Groomsmen: white shirt, black vest, champagne ties (i bought these from Dillards and they do match the dresses my girls are wearing, which are champagne pink with champagne sashes)
Groom: Black shirt, white vest, white tie
See? Not too matchy matchy but just enough. You coul djust go with a family color of green instead of trying to match it perfectly. i think champagne goes nicely with green, but i’m partial =]

I don’t know; I like the jade vest/tie with the black tux just fine. But if you’re really opposed, are you doing a second wedding color or just green? You could definitely pick some kind of netural for the groomsmen, like a black vest/tie or maybe even some shade of gold?

thanks guys! appreciate your input.
i think i might go with something like this green for men’s vest/tie:
i think if the bridesmaid’s bouquest have a range of greens in them including paler shades should be ok.

we looked online at thetiebar.com in oour color category and found a really cool (kinda retro) paisley tie we both loved—its mainly espresso like my bridesmaids dresses so it coordinates but doesnt match exactly. and you can view them with diff jacket colors to get a good feel for it under the tux.
