My FI got my ring through James Allen and I love it!! He bought my diamond separately and then just bought the band through James Allen, but it was an easy transaction, the ring is gorgeous and although, I’ve only had it for a month (almost two) I have no complaints. We’re planning on buying my wedding band through James Allen as well.

Here is my engagement ring: http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/settings-with-sidestones/Common-Prong-Engagement-Ring.html

I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on it too!

Ha Ha I just realized that (1) the first ring you listed is the same as mine, but in platinum. and (2) we’re both from Texas! 🙂

Okay so apparently my first post never made it on here… but yes, my engagement ring is the same as your first one you posted and its from James Allen. My FI bought the diamond from someone else, but the band from James Allen. It was a simple transaction and the ring is beautiful. I absoultely love it and I get compliments all the time. We’re going to be using James Allen for my wedding band also.

Have you been to Pricescope.com?  They love James Allen over there…the owner pops into the forum every now and again if people have queries.  Plus if you go through the Pricescope vendors page, I think you get a 2.5% discount.  Every little helps!

My fiance got my ring from James Allen (Jim is fantastic to deal with!).  This is what my ring is based on (however, he had my ring customized to have a thinner band):

He got the center diamond (1.5 carat ideal princess cut) from James Allen too, and I couldn’t be happier.  It’s absolutely gorgeous and every one comments on its brilliance.

101610bride, can I just say you have an absolutely gorgeous ring?

I know this is probably old news to you jm1773 since by now you’ve probably since picked out a lovely ring (and let’s hope it was from James Allen) but can I just say how much I really love my ring from there? My fiance bought me a really unique diamond engagement ring with sapphire colored sidestones: http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/settings-with-colored-sidestones/Blue-Sapphire-Ring.html

Isn’t it just gorgous? I thought so too when I got it by surprised (and yes, we discussed a similar ring beforehand, though I didn’t know he would get me this exact one. It is even more stunning in person!)

By the way, my fiance told me James Allen were a pleasure to deal with and he couldn’t have been happier with how easy the process was.  He said it was cheaper then what he remembered seeing in the store plus he loved staring at the real diamodn photos on the screen to get a better look. There was a cash back guarentee and the ring came in a lovely presentation box.  I had to get it resized (for free, mind you!) and it was worth the wait!

I was considering James Allen for an engagement ring but when I saw that Kaboodle had blocked them, it made me wonder if something had gone wrong with the company. I’m glad to see good feedback though.

@moknbyrd:

I am still in love with the ring I chose. I like that they are conflict free.

My ring is from there!

This is the ring, and it was set with a sapphire.  It’s more delicate in person, but it still feels solid.  The whole thing feels…expensive.  More than it cost.  lol.  Because we sent a stone and the setting had to be made to fit it, apparently the process was a little more long and complicated than expected, but I’m so in love with what I have!  I’d toyed with a few ring ideas for a while, but now that I have it, I can’t imagine anything better!

My engagement ring and wedding band are from them. I’m very happy with both. Mine is a pretty simple gold solitaire band with a  small (.53 carat) but high quality diamond. I didn’t want anything too big or bulky.  This is the ring…

I know James Allen has free shipping and very good customer service (I called to ask them a question once at 2am and they picked up).

Most of my friends and family got their e-rings in brick and mortar stores. I’m one of the few people I know who got theirs online. We saved a lot of $. And every penny is a huge big deal to me and hubby!
