@miss sparkly cat:

I did! We loved them! They have excellent quality and great service. The price was amazing and the diamonds are conflict free.

I do!!  I absolutely love my ring.  My fiance had a really great experience with them when he ordered my ring and said their customer service was great.  Here’s my ring….

I haven’t gotten anything from there, but it’s a name I recognize from the people over at PriceScope, so I know it’s good!

I’ve read some amazing reviews about JA on Pricescope but personally I had a terrible time with them.

First I had found a diamond on their website but they were unable to produce anymore more pictures or ASETs of it even though they claimed to have it in stock.

Then I was trying order just a setting from them and it was a PIA. We ended up cancelling the order and going with another jeweler. Supposedly you can’t order a plain setting from them if you want a fancy shaped diamond in it (emerald cut in my case). Something about the shape of the prongs yet the setting was made for a emerald cut. This wasn’t stated anywhere on the website. They were never rude or anything but we went in circles because I only wanted the setting and they didn’t want to sell me a plain setting.

Overall I’d still recommend them but beware their customer service can be annoying if you have more questions than what is answered on their website. Or if you want a setting for a fancy cut diamond.

I went with James Allen for a right hand ring I bought myself after college graduation. They have amazing customer service. Okay, live chat on the weekends? Yes! Their settings are all so gorgeous and they have photos of the diamonds they have in their inventory. Makes the selection that much easier.

Please visit truthaboutdiamonds.com. The owner of this website, Ira Weissman, gave me FREE advice about the biggest and best diamond I could get with the budget I gave him. If you don’t like his advice, you can throw it away. But he will scour James Allen’s inventory to find a stone for you. (Plus you get a setting discount if you use a promotional code he gives you with the free advice). For me, this saved a lot off my setting and allowed me to get a bigger center stone. I swear he’s not paying me! Hahah.

I attached a photo of the ring I bought. The center stone is a .74 F SI2 (eye clean) stone in a Danhov setting. Great craftsmanship and quality. I have no complaints! I want to add that I bought the ring at the height of the Christmas engagement season and I received it within three-four weeks. This is kind of par for the course when your settings are made to order, though.  I hope I helped. Feel free to ask any questions.

@miss sparkly cat: I almost ordered the same setting. but just as @MissNumbers: said, we went around in circles because I just wanted the setting itself without a center diamond. I have a cushion cut diamond that I didn’t want to send it to be set and although they say if you send them the measurements they can make the prongs to fit, they said that diamonds are just too individualized to be able to do this. They were never rude and I know they were just trying to be helpful, but I canceled the order.

I actually found a very similar, if not the same, setting at Jared’s and purchased it there. Here is mine:

And here is the link to it on their site:

One thing I will tell you is that it definitely rubs against your pinky and middle finger which takes a LOT of getting used to but you don’t notice it after a while. French cut pave is beautiful and I wish you the best of luck in your search!

I’m not sure where the text went… but above is my James Allen engagement ring.

My fiance and i picked it together, it’s a cushion cut centre. It’s very sparkly!

I would highly recommend them.
