10 months to go... YAY. Well all the website to do lists have these things listed for month 10:
My fiance and i have decided we would like to include many of our irish/scottish traditions. Including a handfasting, bag pipes, kilt (for Mr JB only), a pepple wishing lake, etc
Our officiant will be our pastor. We do still need to set up wedding counseling however
We already know who we're going with and the two types of wedding cake we're using. I haven't decided on his groom's cake yet though. And we're still working on a design for the wedding cake. And I'm 95% sure what his groom's cake will be (I'm SOOOO excited).
I really don't keep a "TO DO" list per say, I do have a checklist that I try to follow roughly, but I'm not too worried about it if it doesn't happen right when the list says do it.
However this month I want to:

@MrsJB: Do you live near any bridal stores? Often you can call ahead and let them know your size and time limitations and they'll work with you. It might take more than one trip but if having your mom with you is important I think it would be worth it! Have you done any online searching? That is my favorite part (the dress!) so if you want any ideas of styles for your body type let me know, I used to work at a bridal shop and miss it so much!!! :)
Sounds like you've got more than me planned this month...hmmm...I should get on some of these things! ;)
KansasPrincess11: Thanks for the suggestion. We have one in our town that we'd be willing to go to.Their are actually two, but we had a bad experience with them in the past. I've picked out some styles and designers I like. YAY! I love looking at all the gowns.
I love dresses too, I am a dress fanatic! The fact that I only have one is somewhat of a miracle (and only because of the budget!!). Good luck with your shopping, get lots of pictures! :D
This month I plan on purchasing my accessories for my dress, order my save the dates, and booking a photographer. We may start our registry too since our parties will start taking place within the next few months.
@trugem when are you sending out your STDs? (I still hate that acronym...haha). I want to do a magnet with our picture but won't be doing the engagement pics til May. Unfortunately I got a 10% cupon that expires next month. Boo!
@KansasPrincess - YAY for date twins! Do you realize that we finally broke into the 200s now!?!?
My March list consisted of the following:
@KansasPrincess:lol. We will be sending out our STDs in April/May. The orginal person that I wanted to place an order from shut down their etsy store. Luckily I had someone else in mind. We will be ordering of STDs from Magnet Street.
@TP: What does your dress look like??
I guess I'm not as behind as I was feeling. I think I'm going to start working on invitations next month, we're DIY-ing them (I am insane, that's my only answer...).
@trugem: You're way ahead of me on the STD's, I think ours won't go out until July! We don't have a lot of out of state guests though and those who are already know about it so basically I want the magnets (I'm using Magnet Street too!) for cute value ;)
@KansasPrincess11: Since our wedding is on a holiday we are mailing them out before the 6 month mark.
*whew...good thinking and that makes me feel better, somehow I forgot about that little detail ;) We almost used the 1st (he wanted it because I'm bad with dates and how can you forget a bunch of 1's?!) but the venue we wanted wasn't available and it's really the only place in the town we live in haha.
Lol. My parents wanted us to use your date because they were concerned about availabilty, but I thought it would be cool to have NYD. I orginally wanted NYE, but it would have been hard to do with our church having Watch Meet.
Sounds like we are all moving along very well!! So exciting! Just this week I booked our DJ and ordered my dress! And I'm currently working on finding bridesmaid jewelry... and having a hard time with it!!

It's in the light gold color, I just love that for winter weddings!!
Kansas!! That is beautiful!! I love the flower on the waist!! I love the light gold color too! Plus, with my really pale Irish skin and even paler Dutch FI we don't look too washed out! I love the warmth of it! YAY!
For this month I want to get done:
Toffee: First of all, right now I'm craving a heath bar and I blame you ;) Second of all what style wedding are you having? I think I've gotten a bit of an idea of the other Jan. 2011 brides but haven't seen you yet! :)
