I'm having a horrible time deciding on colors because I don't want something everyone is done but I still want something that fits with the winter season. I'm considering deep purple or red the most seriously. So what are you useing?

Deep red and gold! I know it can be seen as "holiday" (a banned word in my wedding planning!) but pairing it with ivory is making it classy and really warm and rich!

Blue, grey, and cream.  Yes, Holiday is a word banned from my wedding as well.  I like "Romantic Winter".

Mine is in 5 days!  I will post pictures.  My colors are olive green, eggplant, and chocolate brown.  Since it is in Vermont and we love the outdoors, we are using pinecones, bare branches, and greenery (think evergreens) along with flowers.

My colors are turquoise and orchid (pinkish purple). We actually are eloping to NYC. I didn't even think about the season I saw a necklace that I loved I brought it and before I knew it I had a color story. We will use the same colors when we renew our vows in front of family and friends next winter.

I am also throwing the seasons out of the window. I have finally found my wedding colors and I am so happy about it even though most people are telling me that they are for the spring. My colors are black, white, and apple green. I am so happy about these colors. I love the color green and I think black and white are so chic and simple. I am so happy that other bees are throwing the seasons out of the way and doing what they want. ITS OUR WEDDINGS AND WE CAN DO WHAT WE WANT! YAY!

I'm going with the season...holly green, black, and silver. Most of my bridesmaids are super pale, and I don't want them to look washed out with pale colors in the winter. Plus, I LOVE the color :)

I'm going with ivory, blush pink, and charcoal grey! Not sure if it's going with the season or not but it felt like the perfect combination of modern and vintage to me :)

I'll have deep reds, ivories, very pale pink then black and gold. My dress is light gold and the venue has a lot of beautiful gold details. I am new to this and am loving seeing everyone elses ideas!!

purple and white, I will probably use a deeper shade, but I would have used it even if we were getting married in the spring. Its the only shade and color the FI and I both liked.

I am doing a pale blushish pink with silver and pale gold, I started with a strong palette with purples and greens but that was as they say early days and then when I started getting down to it I wanted a softer feel.

I tossed any ideas of a winter or christmas or new years theme or anything like that out soo fast! We're going with green and blue, with white as an accent I think. Green is my favorite color and blue is his, so it works out perfect.

I'm using fall colors in the winter! I don't really care too much, though because with the wedding being in Florida... January will actually FEEL like fall, hopefully. I want to use lots of rich red, burnt orange, deep yellows, etc. We're also thinking of going with light gray suits for the guys, instead of tuxes, so I may have to tweak the colors a bit to make sure it doesn't look too wonky, lol

I wanted a cozy romantic feel to the wedding, so we're going with "claret" which is a deep red, and pairing it with black and white. I really like those colors paired together! And since I'm a Minnesotan, with the snow outside I'm SO excited!

Cedar green, lots of white winter sparkle(candles, crystals, table runners), accent black(groomsmen in black and cedar green) and minor accent of juniper blue(probably just in the form of blue wine bottles on the tables LOL)

    (I'm 2012, can I play too?)

We're doing evergreen and cream. Accent colors are walnut (dark brown) and gold. We'd like candles/lanterns, evergreen boughs with the occasional pinecone, and absolutely no "bling" whatsoever; the atmosphere will be romantic, elegant, and warm 'n cozy.

I'm doing various shades of blue and cream but I'm ignoring the season it would be that way no matter when it was so all random shades but with a heavier emphasis now on navy than on aqua.

Black and white is classic and looks great in the winter time - you could even add in frosty metallics.  Here is sample of a black and white wedding theme with a fun pattern! http://shaycochranephotography.com/blog/?p=2890
